Residency, in case you havent heard, is difficult work. 124,000 of us have dedicated three to seven years of our life to communities around the country, collectively making life and death decisions for millions of patients each day. Our weekly duty hour limit is twice that of most working Americans....
completely repeal Obamacare. Although he has reneged and stated that he would keep the ban on preconditions and coverage for young adults on the table, he has been much less clear about what hed do to the quality and payment schemes of the ACA. A worrisome contingent of conservatives nonetheless wish to ditch those programs: out of nine known conservative proposals, at least five have called for the abolition of payment reform.
Interestingly, there are a number of unique reasons for payment reform programs to be strengthened by conservatives. By incentivizing local healthcare establishments, the ACA encourages them to take the lead as innovators meeting the unique needs of their communities, the type of private sector creativity that Republicans have championed.
Ok well consider this your notice twinkle toes.
you’ll get over it when you see how much money you can make without it.
Residency is where a new medical student gets to practice on real life people.
Here is the summary of the article: Snowflake says genius Obama has lowered healthcare costs (a lie) and because of the changed reimbursement rules genius Obama has created incentives that have decreased the number of hospital readmissions.
My position: the free market is a better arbiter of what care is worth the money.
BS meter pegging.
So he’s not demanding to be paid $15 an hour for grunt work?
Absolute B.S. lies.
As a resident he is a salaried employee of the hospital.
“Payment Reform” will have absolutely no bearing on when
he gets paid, or how much.
Just how long have you been out of school and into the real world????

Notice to Snowflake: conservatives DON'T WANT GOVERNMENT CONTROLLING PRICES.
Many fewer indigent patients who become total loads going forward as they have kids...
Fewer physician graduates from other countries taking permanent positions here means we beef up our schools rather then dumb them down to supply physician manpower.
Both should have been happening all along, but since 1967 and the Rat takeover scheme began, it has been a mess.
Anyone ever hear about Ft. Hood?
Most medical students and residents I encounter these days are pro-Obama and anti-Trump to the absolute max. Further evidence that our universities, including medical schools, are conveyor belts for Marxist indoctrination.
That being said, nursing programs are the same. I have been an advanced practice nurse for many years and I’m shocked at how nursing education has been taken over by the left. The classes are so polluted with transgender this and women’s rights that. It’s disgusting. I’m middle aged and dreading my elderly years when I actually might have to be cared for by these people.
Yeah, let’s all suffer so Newackidoo can get his tax payer funded education and go on bitching about how racist we are.....
What a load!
Most of the time now is spent on MEDICAL RECORDS instead of providing care.
Thanks to Obamacare.
Call the whaaambulance. As an ensign, based upon a 24-hour day/duty, I made $1.53 per hour. And thought myself privileged to be in flight training. Grow up.

Never met a med student who would bother to write this down in such a wonky way!!
FAKE NEWS!!!
How did the millions of other “residents” before you make it BEFORE ObamaCare? Maybe you should talk to some of them.
There’s always barber college...
My doc, a fine middle aged Jewish fellow who has been practicing for many years, HATES Obamacare. And he isn’t too fond of its namesake.
The difference between experience and academia is stark.
Secondly, he is an employee of the Johns Hopkins system and as a result, his reimbursement doesn't change one iota.
Thirdly, the rank ARROGANCE of how HE CURES patients? Really Snowflake? You are a resident doing what the Chief Resident and numerous Attendings tell you to do.
Lastly, I don't want to hear about your long workweek. This is part and parcel the deal to become a doctor. Suck it up.
