Clinton campaign to participate in recount in Wis.
Boston Globe ^ | 11/26/16 | Zapotosky

Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign has been quietly exploring whether there was any ‘‘outside interference’’ in the election results and will participate in the election recount in Wisconsin initiated by Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein, a Clinton campaign lawyer revealed Saturday.

In a Medium post, Clinton campaign lawyer Marc Elias wrote that the campaign had received ‘‘hundreds of messages, emails, and calls urging us to do something, anything, to investigate claims that the election results were hacked and altered in a way to disadvantage Secretary Clinton,’’ especially in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, where the ‘‘combined margin of victory for Donald Trump was merely 107,000 votes.’’

Elias wrote that the campaign had ‘‘not uncovered any actionable evidence of hacking or outside attempts to alter the voting technology.’’ But because of the margin of victory - and because of the degree of apparent foreign interference during the campaign - Elias wrote that Clinton officials had ‘‘quietly taken a number of steps in the last two weeks to rule in or out any possibility of outside interference in the vote tally in these critical battleground states.’’ He wrote they would also participate in the Stein-initiated recount in Wisconsin, and if Stein made good on efforts to prompt similar processes in Pennsylvania and Michigan, they would do so there, as well.

‘‘The campaign is grateful to all those who have expended time and effort to investigate various claims of abnormalities and irregularities,’’ Elias wrote. ‘‘While that effort has not, in our view, resulted in evidence of manipulation of results, now that a recount is underway, we believe we have an obligation to the more than 64 million Americans who cast ballots for Hillary Clinton to participate in ongoing proceedings to ensure that an accurate vote count will be reported.’’

I guess we don’t have enough recount threads posted today. We’re only up to 15—surely we can break the 25 mark by the end of the day.

Clinton Campaign admits the recount will likely not change election results:

Steven T. Dennis at Bloomberg Politics reports Hillary Clinton’s campaign will join the recount process in battleground states despite admitting they doubt it will change the results of the election.

Fake news. Steinbhas no standing to ask for a recount with such low vote percentage. This all bs put forward by the crying losers. Soreloserman all over again. Trump is a genius, first he embarrassed the Republicans starting from the first rigged debate question. Now he is going to humiliate these idiots. Sad.

Trump is a genius. I agree.

But this election was set up by decades of Republicans being conditioned not to fight the media.

Trump did not accept that. I believe he was surprised at how unethical the media was when they targeted him.

To his credit, he fought back. He also had the means and temperament to fight back reasonably well.

The credibility of the media was already at record lows.

It was the right man in the right place at the right time.

Thank You God!

...She conceded. I suspect her interest is illegal...

A concession has no force of law. It’s form over substance.
If Trump asked for a recount, the WaPo, NYT, and all the alphabet networks would scream it as a lead story on every front page and newscast.
The rules are ALWAYS different for Democrats.

Hopefully there will be enough of a cushion in votes to stop any attempt to steal the election. However, I will relay this observation - when Al Franken lost to Norm Coleman in the 2008 MN US Senate election, it was by a smaller margin. In addition to finding bogus votes in car trunks, the recount proved to be a frightening experience for the Republicans who were involved in the event. According to a friend of mine, the various counties where the recounted was happening, were all visited by high power California lawyers who intimidated the GOP observers, and were challenging votes that were not in question. It was exhausting.

My friend said she and others felt afraid all day.

We need to pray for those Republicans who are involved with the recount.

I think that The Donald is starting to realize that the Clintons don’t understand his recent gesture that he didn’t intend to vigorously pursue criminal charges against them. The Clintons only understand catch-as-can politics. Anybody wanna bet that later this week some new revelation about Weiner’s laptop goes public?
