All the organs of federal law report to the President. This is why Clinton was not prosecuted. The President told them not to prosecute.

==============================

That is illegal and unconstitutional. Nixon tried such tactics and he had two AG's resign. This is the stuff of banana republics, not a constitutional Republic.

==============================

Hussein Obama was working hard to destroy the rule of law and have banana republic rules apply on all counts. Of course it was Hussein who ordered Lynch and Comey to bury the indictment. Hussein Obama, America's FIRST Pro-Muslim President, would have have done anything possible to keep a Demorat in the White House. Burying the indictment was a no brainer for a criminal like Obama.

If the president has promised publically, which apparently Trump has, not to prosecute the Clintons, the new DOJ will take that as an instruction.

First, Trump has not said he promised nothing. Second, the DOJ does not take such instructions from a President unless it is run by political hacks who violate their oath of office. Here is the DOJ Mission statement:

To enforce the law and defend the interests of the United States according to the law; to ensure public safety against threats foreign and domestic; to provide federal leadership in preventing and controlling crime; to seek just punishment for those guilty of unlawful behavior; and to ensure fair and impartial administration of justice for all Americans.

The State’s attorney, said though a flunky deputy lawyer, “It is only a law if we say its a law.” That was my initiation into “prosecutorial discretion.”

The deputy lawyer is wrong and you should have pursued it further. What you describe is not prosecutorial discretion.

The law is not a constant, like gravity, which applies to everybody equally. This is the complaint by blacks, who, rightly or wrongly, claim that drug laws are more heavily enforced on low income blacks than middle class whites. (By my observation, that appears to be true.)

The Rule of Law is a pillar of the Republic. Yes, its administration is not perfect and those who have money to get the best legal support have an advantage. After sitting a juror in a murder trial, I still have faith in the system.

My thoughts exactly. Alan dershowitz was a guest on Epstein’s Island. He is a compromised individual.
