Donald Trump’s Environmental Reset
Wall Street Journal ^ | Nov. 24, 2016 | Kimberley A. Strassel

Posted on 11/24/2016 8:19:28 PM PST by Innovative

Anti-Trump protests continue to swell across the country, but what best sums up the president-elect’s challenge was a Monday night tantrum barely noticed by the press. Climate activists in Washington, D.C., waited until dark, then beamed huge images onto the headquarters of the Environmental Protection Agency. Their demand? That Donald Trump pick someone other than Myron Ebell to lead the EPA.

I hope Trump chooses exactly Myron Ebell to lead the EPA, and hope he will cancel all the insane regulations the EPA has been trying to impose that do no good, only kill businesses.

I want to read in the newspapers where he tells Gina McCarthy “You’re fired” and by the way get that ethanol out of our gasoline because I’m stopping the subsidies for this madness. That would truly be a great day.

There is no “global warming”. “Climate Change” is purposefully not defined to obfuscate it’s true intent which is to take your wealth and transfer it to the third world. These people are as much an enemy of our people and constitution as those in Islamic lands. Observe their threat and the total hoax of “Climate Change “ bull shit and crush it into history. GO TRUMP!!

Amen! I submitted this to the SHARE YOUR IDEAS WITH DONALD TRUMP site, as well as to my congressman:

“I realize, considering the massive amount of actions that need to be taken in order to get America back on the right track and “undo” much of the damage wreaked by democrat policies and overzealous regulatory officials over the last few decades, that actions will have to be prioritized. But, why can’t free citizens in the USA buy clothes washing machines that actually fill up with water and actually get clothes clean? Why can’t we purchase incandescent light bulbs over 60 watts if we want to? Why can’t we buy toilets that fill up with water and do not have to be flushed twice? Why can’t we buy plumbing fixtures, such as shower heads, that actually allow a strong stream of water? In my area, the lakes are overflowing and there is no shortage of water, so why should we pretend that there is some crisis, when there is not? Thanks very much for any consideration of these regulations that really do serve no compelling public interest in many parts of the country. If local or state conditions warrant, such states or communities could establish specific requirements, and I am confident manufacturers could and would accommodate their needs.”

by the way get that ethanol out of our gasoline...”

If memory serves me correctly, when he was campaigning in Iowa he said he would leave it in and continue the subsidies.

Our local Kroger has been selling 35% ethanol for some time at a greatly reduced price. Don’t know if there are any buyers or not and don’t recall every seeing anyone at those pumps. Would love to see all of it gone and the subsidies cease.

Sure hope he does. When they first came up with the ones that look like an ugly white worm we bought two cases of the real ones that we use most frequently. Figure we have enough left to last about three more months.

Why can’t we buy toilets that fill up with water and do not have to be flushed twice?

Another problem with low-low toilets is that municipal sewage systems ae engineered to accommodate a certain ratio of fluids-to-solids. That ratio was based on the older 'high-flow" toilet.

The new low-flow toilets reduce the fluid-to-solids ratio causing the solids to build up at various points, clogging the system.

Eventually, the choice will be to either replace the toilets or re-engineer and rebuild the sewage systems.

I agree with the environmentalists’ demand that Trump not nominate Myron Ebell to head the EPA. Instead, Trump should just have the EPA abolished.
