They will use taco shells and cheese and hot sauce.
> Zero chance Mexican cement will be used.
Mud will be used instead...
“Maybe Trump can tie building the wall into easier permitting for sand and gravel pits. There is a shortage of them in my area due to all of that.”
The big aggregate conglomerates will put their lobbyists to work and kill that quickly...Oh wait,....never mind.
Doesn’t Sheriff Joe have hundreds of illegals in Tent City? What better way for them to pay back their debt to society than to build the very wall that will ensure they can never again violate our immigration laws?
I am about as strong an advocate for American jobs as I can be. Lets face it, these jobs will be temporary. It’s not a career job until you retire.
While we build the wall, I would not mind seeing 5 to 7.5% of the jobs and supplies being farmed out to Mexico. It would remain a 92.5 to 95.0% American project. At the same time it would provided funds to Mexican supply chain, give some influx into the local Mexican community, and build some good will along with it.
This is an American project. The vast majority should remain just that. I just think there should be a way for both sides to save some face, build relationships and come away with positive aspects.
its not a bad idea...Trump cam milk out a lasting legacy built on a foundation of a joint partnership with our neighbors to the south...it would drive the left into a complete meltdown, their collective heads would pop
I would like to see a plan where U.S. service sector firms would invest in Mexico, particularly along our border. These service sector jobs wouldn’t be much, but they would provide jobs to Mexican citizens. As those Mexican citizens spent their checks on necessities, other businesses would flurish.
Anything our corporations could do to make the areas along our border more upscale, would be good for the company, and good for the Mexican people.
Mexico’s government doesn’t seem to give a fig about it’s citizens. Our companies could do a lot to spark the economy down there without gutting our own.
Manufacturing? No. Service sector yes. Open up a lot of franchises down there. Put thousands of Mexicans to work in cities along the border. The better those communities do, the less desire to move into the U.S.
Many US cement companies are now Mexican owned...
I would be leery that I was not getting the proper mix cement.
“I would be leery that I was not getting the proper mix cement.”
It took 29 replies but someone gets it!
That’s a great idea but the biggest problem Mexico will have to improve the border regions are corruption and the cartels. The question is do they have the guts to take it on for the sake of their future?
Mexico should request in the U.S. Army and Air Force for thirty days.
Hard to be a cartel boss with no women, home, pool, vehicles, right hand men, dogs, cats, clothes, bathroom, pot to —— in.
Our drone fliers need some practice time.
Add coyotes to the plan and we’d have a much better corner of the world in about five weeks.
There are ways to find out what’s in the mix. Test them and if they meet the standards, pass them along.
So what's more binding than that? :)
the answer is they need leadership. Maybe they need to have their own Trump revolution
And Chinese wallboard, too. We know a developer who had to rip out all of the wallboard in a condo complex that was almost completed.
I agree, and it is coming. The citizens of those nations won’t allow this to go on forever.
Bueno!
It may not be Mexican cement but if you define “US” as US made and US owned the chances are good it won’t be US cement either.
