After reading the article I think it is CAIR BS. Ignoring the high probability of poor and misleading writing by the author, the actions and language do not match what is normally done or said by normal people. It is stilted and reeks of lawyer talk.

I was listening to NPR (stuck listening on the drive) they were interviewing the dean of students at the school where the fake hijab “hate crime” took place. He never admitted it was fake but is “investigating” the entire incident.
