I’d be willing to bet that any attempt at building a wall, now that Hillary lost and there’s lots of angry and violent libtards out there, will be met with paid protestors trying to stop any construction.

My idea with a border fence is similar to my approach to home security. A dedicated thief could break into my home at night, but it is clearly much harder to get into my home than other homes. I don’t expect many thieves to try hard enough to find out what happens if they do get in. At some point, they might even decide not to burglarize homes.

Similarly, if we make the border moderately secure and then enforce immigration law uniformly against on those who do make it in, it won’t be worth the effort to try to cross our border illegally. Force them to make long tunnels and then destroy the tunnels as they are discovered. At some point, it will become easier to just follow the law.

Jail those who continue to hire them.

I was gonna suggest any actual border line family not wanting border built along their area be made to sign agreement with federal Govt to assume all responsibility (fees for policing, robberies, rapes, loss of lives, etc) for crime from anyone ever crossing their area once rest of border around them is built.

But maybe better idea just to ask them which side of border they want to be on. Have them sign a paper to that effect and build wall accordingly, cutting them off from access to USofA if that’s their choice.

I am now doubting he will. He just let the traitors Clintons go. They can now enjoy the billions in stolen money while leaving thousands dead in their wake.

Jail those who continue to hire them.

Jailing them is an expensive last resort. Hit them where it hurts instead - in the wallet. Fine them so severely they wish they could just be jailed. But, yes, one way or another, penalize the employers who encourage and reward this illegal behavior.

"1. A road along the entire border, navigable by Jeep or similar vehicle, with triple strand concertina wire barriers 100-200 yards on each side monitored frequently for vandalism. That can be done very quickly..."

Whoever Trump puts directly in charge of building the wall, all they need do is look at the California barrier. It was pushed through by Rep. Duncan Hunter (senior) years ago and reduced our illegal traffic by over 95% and why SE Arizona became the center of illegal immigration in the West.

It only runs from the Pacific to just east of San Diego. The mid and eastern part of CA border is far removed from the border with very very few staging areas for the coyotes. They need staging areas (towns) for the illegals to disappear into. That's why I have repeatedly said we don't need it along the entire border, except maybe for Texas with all their border towns.

When I traveled from San Diego to Tombstone to be a Minuteman, I was amazed at the how far the I-8 stretched across total wasteland from Yuba to Phoenix. Without small army sized logistics, there is no way anyone could survive that desert crossing. Look at a map of the West and you'll see.

You forgot increased investigation into suspect companies that hire illegals and triple the fines for each infraction.

Being an anti-illegal alien advocate since since the late '80's, I've always believed that penalizing employers would cut down the attraction for jobs. The I-9 form that I had to submit has been been toothless for years because of little to no enforcement. Without investigations and "raids", it's just another hassle for small employers.

Agreed. I’ve been near the border in AZ and California. Making it impractical to cross is not an impossible task - if the president loves America.
