In 2013 I breathed a sigh of relief. 50th anniversary of the Kennedy assassination. Ted Kennedy dead. No Kennedy’s in positions of real power. I figured the Cult of Worship of JFK was going to end. 50th anniversary was one thing, but who would care about the 51st anniversary??
And here we are in 2016, still genuflecting to the dead guy. Kripes.
Some of us are still holding out for justice in this case.
If things had turned out differently, JFK Jr. would be leaving office and Vice President Obama would be gearing up for 2 terms today.
I don’t think the author cares about JFK. It is more likely that his motive was to keep the word “assassination” in the public mind. Leftists are evil, and I assume his motive was in keeping with the values of disappointed but still violent far left Hillary supporters.
Well, it is the anniversary. For better or worse, November 22 is a date that will live in infamy.
Look on the bright side - reprobate though was, JFK was still more conservative than most of the ‘Pubbie candidates, much less the Democrats.
JFK gets one good day a year. Otherwise, every week on the History Channel and other venues, there are stories about JFK and the Mob, JFK and Marilyn and her mysterious death, JFK stealing the 1960 election, JFK and his womanizing, JFK botching the Bay of Pigs, and so on. Slowly, JFK is being discredited and becoming politically irrelevant.
Joe Kennedy the Turd (grandnephew) is in Congress.
I was 6 at the time and had just arrived in Canada a month prior. I really didn’t have any concept of the United States or the President. My only memory of that time was watching a bit of the funeral on a black and white tv and apparently it was someone important. A 6 year old doesn’t really have a good grasp on death either. A little over a year later I do recall the banner headline in a local paper for Winston Churchill saying Man of the Century dies at 90. That headline was true then as it is today.
