I have no trouble with the Holocaust museum idea it needs to add a couple of wings for the holocausts caused by communism.
It has become a cult, and the high priests count on it to make a good living fleecing taxpayers.
To begin with, there are a lot of almost victims here in the USA, in spite of Cordell Hull & Joe Kennedy's best efforts. Secondly, we did participate in eradicating the perpetrators as well as freeing many of the victims.
I'd advise you to read up on your early- to mid-20th Century European history before you go spouting off such nonsense. The DUmmy trolls will read comments like yours and paint us all as white supremacists and Holocaust deniers. It's bad enough that the LSM makes such wild comments that go unchallenged, we don't need to give the bastards any fodder for their "news" articles.

We did participate (finally) in bringing to light the magnitude of what happened, due to our major role in liberating Europe and the fact that we have a free society where these things can be discussed. Also at least two presidents after WWII made the point that these things should never be covered up or presented as propaganda and obviously that is an ongoing problem.
I've visited the Holocaust Museum and I only had three issues with it:
1. It actually could have had a lot more exhibits. There seemed to be a lot of space in the building that was being used for something else.
2. I wasn't sure that it needed to take a place right next to the capitol Mall, but maybe that is not such a big deal.
3. There was one room at the end that just seemed to be all about Israel, with lots of Israeli flags, etc. To me that appeared to be expressing the interests of a foreign country, which definitely should not be part of a national museum, especially right near our Capitol.

If one wants to speak truthfully, not about the Holocaust per se, but rather about what has been called the Holocaust Industry, one could say that the ceaseless marketing of it worldwide has been the cause of various negative repercussions, one of the most obvious being the psychological trauma experienced by the German people for the last 70 years. Another is the way in which it has been used as sort of a bludgeon to exact reparations from a multitude of sources for Holocaust-related activities such as scholarly research, education programs, the search for and apprehension of Nazis involved in Holocaust activities, the preservation of concentration camps, and the building of museums dedicated to the victims. This financial dimension of the Holocaust Industry is why, when commenting on it, an internationally known Jewish intellectual remarked that “the Shoah must go on.”
