Angela Merkel is set to announce on Sunday she will seek a fourth term as German chancellor in next year's election, ending months of speculation over whether one of the world's most powerful women wants to run again after 11 years in office.
The 62-year-old conservative is widely seen as a stabilizing force in Europe at a time of uncertainty after Britain's vote to leave the European Union and the election of Donald Trump as the next U.S. president.
On Sunday afternoon, she meets other leaders of her Christian Democrats (CDU) in Berlin to prepare for a party conference in December, the last before the election. She has called a news conference for 6:00 p.m. GMT, a sign interpreted by politicians and the media that she has made up her mind.

She should be tried and hanged for Treason. Really. If Germany had any real males left, that would have happened years ago.
It shows you how effective the German self-hate indoctrination is, to erase and demonize the Christian worldview and erase the entire brilliant German culture. The German race (country) is being destroyed, and they are only able to do so because the males have been so feminized over the decades after WWII, all they can do is just watch as their women and boys get raped by the invaders.
Brilliant Christian cultures have to be destroyed for the NWO where Reason and Logic and Virtue have to be destroyed along with borders, so everyone will be “happy” slaves, as Fichte stated——socialized completely-—where slavery is “good” and “normal” as it is for Germans now. Christianity was first attacked in France and Germany, so they were the first countries to be deChristianized so they would easily become slaves of the state.
