On Friday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Washington Post Reporter Chris Cillizza argued “the greatest thing that happened to the Republican Party is Barack Obama.”
After agreeing with host and former Republican Congressman Joe Scarborough that the Democrats don’t have a bench, Cillizza said, “I always say that the greatest thing that happened to the Republican Party is Barack Obama. Yes, he spent eight years in the White House, but during those eight years they have made massive gains. I wrote last year, if you look at the full party, and this was assuming Barack Obama in the White House and maybe Hillary Clinton in the White House, the Republican Party, much healthier overall than the Democratic Party.”

The delicious part is that Obama can’t help himself: he believes he can talk his way into or out of any situation and just finds it impossible to stop digging even when the hole is 50 ft deep.

Reminds me a bit of how Reagan defeated Jimmy Carter in 1980.
I’ve often heard it said, that we couldn’t have gotten Reagan elected, if not for the inept administration of Jimmy Carter.
This seems like a similar situation. If not for the extreme liberal overreach of the Obama administration, and the promise of its continuation under Hillary Clinton, would we have gotten Trump elected???
