Vice President-elect Mike Pence was booed Friday night at a performance of the Broadway hit “Hamilton.” Pence was walking to his seat at the Richard Rodgers Theatre when a few scattered claps turned into a thundering chorus of boos.
The crowd continued to mock Pence throughout the performance, including during the song “Yorktown,” when Alexander Hamilton and Marquis de Lafayette sang “Immigrants, we get the job done.” They high-fived each other as the audience cheered.
Brandon Dixon, who plays Aaron Burr, addressed Pence after the curtain call, saying the diverse cast is “anxious” about his administration.

Hamilton is the darling of the Broadway crowd currently. Tells a story of the founding days of the Republic (you know, a bunch of evil white guys) in the vernacular of hip hop and other current music.
Not a bad idea, actually.
The problem is this: they're bigots. They advertised for auditions saying they didn't want WHITE PEOPLE.

I agree. Pretty much the only thing I watch on TV nowadays is college football. I haven’t seen an NFL game since last season. I haven’t seen an NBA game since 1996. I did watch the Cubs in the pennant games and the WS this year, though (I mean, it was HISTORY!).
I am a voracious reader, and always have been. For pure veg time I work jigsaw puzzles, the more pieces the better.
I’ll cross that show off my list, and I hope others do too to send a message.
Why would you go to a hip hop musical? You would hear much better music at a high school kid’s classical recital.

Hopefully, the show and cast won’t have an audience for a long while until they go under. They can sit and boo each other to an empty house.
