Scott Brown is being considered for Veterans Affairs secretary — a position the former Massachusetts Republican senator says he would accept if offered.
“The VA is in trouble. Soldiers are dying while waiting, employee morale is low and it needs to be fixed,” Brown told The Post in an email.
“Having served for 35 years in military, last 4 years at Pentagon, serving on Armed Services, Veterans and working on these issues for decades, it would be a great challenge to fix and a great honor to serve if asked. Time will tell,” he added.
Brown, who moved a couple years ago to New Hampshire to run for Senate there, was an early and instrumental supporter of Trump before the first-in-the-nation primary there.

Turn all the VA hospitals into housing for homeless vets and give vets the ability to see the doctor of their choice.

For VA you need a hard nose leader who is willing and able to kick ass and take names. I see no reason to think Scott Brown, an opportunistic politician, has the requisite experience to do the job.

That is a tremendous pair of ideas! I have not understood why vets should be limited to such a limited range of locations for medical care, why not enable them to go to any qualified medical facility??
And if all hospitals and clinics are available to our vets, then why not make better use of the existing VA infrastructure to take care of the worst off veterans who are homeless??

Didn’t he (Scott Brown) actually come through on Obamacare (as the vote to stop it), but then the Democrats passed it anyway using reconciliation?
What would that have to do with his qualifications to run VA?
Folks are going to have to figure out what having a businessman in charge means. It means you hire the best available person for a particular job, not the most policically aligned or the one who you owe a favor to. That’s how all the OTHER candidates would have done things.
Agreed there, but many of the Veteran's Hospitals and Clinics are top-notch, and I know this from personal experience.
