Holding out on Federal funding would work fabulously. You just watch.
It used to be that a legal immigrant or resident alien needed to have a sponsor financially liable for their presence, IIRC.
Still true.
Be careful. Seizing the property of another is dangerous and unethical behavior. It’s not a good idea to set precedents.
I did not say that federal funds should not be withheld. That should be done, but it is simply too passive. Making the local citizens responsible for the costs of deporting the local aliens bites a lot harder, and removes local support for any kind of local sanctuary for local aliens. And citizens of non-participating localities then bear less of the costs of shipping the aliens out.
Seizing the property of criminals who could not have acquired the property legally is not unethical.
It'll be interesting to see how Ruth Bader Ginsburg and the other liberals try to claim it's different.
Do you have a larger version of this map or a link to it? The others that I’ve seen are fuzzy and this one looks clear. Thanks.
YES! I have said for years that if the penalties for businesses who knowingly hire illegals (or cheat on I-9 forms) were increased, along with more raids, the illegals would self-deport. Few jobs - fewer illegals. That has always been number 2 on my list, just after a California double-fence barrier that has worked so well. Duncan Hunter made that happen, and that is why illegal crossings went out to Arizona and created the Minutemen effort.
Texas is a little more complicated, but a wall can be built there also. As I've said many times, the wall does not have to be along the entire southern border. It needs only to be built where there are staging areas for the coyotes/illegals.
There are vast stretches of desert along the border in AZ and NM that are impossible to cross without military type logistics. Those areas also have few towns for the illegals to further transit. I know, because I drove the distance on I-8 from San Diego to Phoenix on my way to Tombstone to join the Minutemen.
Also, I hope President Trump doesn't delay the wall while trying to make Mexico pay for it. IIRC, the funds by Congress has never been rescinded, but the the law to build was by a Democrat congress.
President-elect Trump, Please look at the California double fence with Border Patrol patrolling the interior road and you will see how well it has worked. It cut illegal entries in California by some 95%. Please have a sit-down with retired Rep. Duncan L. Hunter or his son Rep. Duncan D. Hunter
Pretty sure the USSC has already ruled in Arizona vs United States that the Fedgov has the ultimate say about immigration law, regulations, and rules. Moot point, since Ginsburg is not going to last another 4 years, and possibly Kennedy. Another reason I voted for Trump. He not only has Scalia's seat to fill, but possibly 2 more.
Unlike others' sarcasm, I'm enjoying every WIN us conservatives are finally experiencing.
Roger, over and Kraut!
meeting.----------------Don't bet on it Rahm!
Send a US Marshall to the fifth floor of City Hall in Chicago and arrest Emanuel for breaking and advocating the breaking of valid US law. Take him to a graybar hotel in cuffs. Watch the other mayors fall into line.
The Kraut decided to butch up and join the parade.
It actually kind of pathetic watching him trying to cover his tracks. He’s banking on most of us forgetting his blown prediction and duplicity, and listening to him again. Not unlike the way a newspaper “corrects” an error on page D10.
I’m still not sure why the Feds should be allowed to give any federal dollars to any city. Shouldn’t that be that state’s purview?
