I predict Republicans that stand in Trump’s way are going to learn the same lesson as Lindsey Graham.

I once thought young Rand could be a good rep and would not parrot his Daddy’s BSkrap

but alas, I was wrong.
I hope he learns to STFU if this kind of BS is all he has to say

we need intelligent, informed, aware people like Rudi and Bolton, and if Trump wants them... super! Nobody’s perfect, I could dig up some details I don’t like about anyone Trump might choose, but so far most of his picks sound very positive imho. and a MILLION times better than all the enemy agents O has infiltrated into our federal govt (which all have to be rooted out and deported or imprisoned as appropriate ASAP)

I am so disappointed in Rand Paul. So disappointed.

Rand Paul has outed himself. I don’t know if he is an actual Swamp Monster (a snake on steroids), but he sure is auditioning for the part. He is an ideologue, and will be a difficult one to get on board. But President Trump is a true genius, so we shall see.

If in the end, he still chooses to obstruct our President, then he must be drained.

Rand inherited the crackpot gene from his father.

Rand Paul should STHU and let Trump and his team make the choices.

And if Rand Paul continues, President Trump has plenty of ways to manipulate others to clamp down on Rand Paul. As President, he can dangle carrot sticks in front of power brokers to shut up Rand Paul. Trump is no fool, he will quickly learn how to lean on jokers like that.

Just curious, do folks here actually want a militant like John Bolton for SecSt? And I can remember not too long ago when supporting Rudy here on FR got you Flamed and dometimes Zotted. Was that in some Harry Turtledove Alternate timeline?

I used to like Rand Paul. I used to like GWB

They're sons of political privilege. Their conservatism is inherited, not from their core. Thus, they sway with the wind.

JMHO

Washington Times??? Yeah, another lie opinion by a writer who thinks he’s a journalist...

You are conflating the Washington Times with the Washington Post. The Washington Times is on our side.

I supported Trump and I support him making the decisions of who he wants in not only the cabinet positions but hundreds of other positions.

A few Republican Senators seem to think that he shouldn’t, screw them.

Not to worry about Paul. Rather worry about McConnell, who won’t follow the tactic of Harry Reid, who used the so-called “nuclear option” to confirm Obama’s nominees, enabling 51 Senators to approve the nomination. I suspect that he will do all he can to thwart Pres. Trump. Both senators from KY should hear from their voters back home on these very important matters.

Meh, he had his own campaign to run. Mind you, I’m not at all excusing Rand on what he’s doing here, just saying it wasn’t his job to defeat Hillary. Which running his own campaign probably helped do.

As an aside, I happened to be in KY election week, having early voted at home, and was in a county that went 62% for Trump. It was nice!

I'd be OK with Rudy Giuliani, but Bolton is a "Hell no!" for me.

The one advantage Giuliani has is that he doesn't have Bolton's 30+ years as a Beltway insider who has been a vocal cheerleader for a bunch of U.S. foreign policy disasters.
