I too am saddened. I think he would be fantastic at HUD or as Surgeon General.

I think he lives in Maryland now, but I don’t think he’d be interested in running for senator for either state.

[ I have always believed Dr Ben will head up the committee or commision or what ever that puts together the several Republican plans for the Obamacare replacement.

That job keeps him away from the clutches and intrigue of a bureaucratic mess ]

I think Carson would be an excellent spokesman for Trump “urban renewal” initiatives and would be instrumental in selling the tax cuts and regulation reductions for starting home grown industries in liberal blighted areas ( liberal administrated minority areas) .

This guy was a world class pediatric neurosurgeon, not an chief executive or administrative type. Any cabinet job is probably outside his element.

But I am sure Trump will rely on him for advice no matter what he decides is best for himself. He is the real deal. I wish him luck.

Yep you are right..... he is Deeetroit urban projects poor kid.

I heard him speak and he told tales, sort of like personal parables.

He said that as a kid growing up they had to be careful with Raisin Bran. They had to be sure the raisins were raisins and not roaches. Then he smiled and said that is colleagues on the Kellogg board of Directors might not appreciate him telling that story. He is the urban city product made very good

Then it occurred to me he might not want to go through Senate Confirmation.

I am not surprised, and not disappointed.

Apart from Surgeon General, there is not a post that I would want him to have.

He is an ethical and honorable man, but, unlike Trump, he is a political naif who does not have practical experience in the private sector that would suit him for such a post. He is a different kind of outsider than Trump.

He is a scientific specialist, not a pragmatic generalist like Trump. Being a peerless neurosurgeon did not equip him to understand the so-called swamp that Trump had to navigate to get his real estate ventures accomplished.

I wish he were Surgeon General - that is all.

I like him a lot, and I wish him well.

Maybe 8 years. Doubt he’d want to run against Trump.

He is so so awesome. I was a huge fan before he ever ran for president.
