If everyone on the planet had the brains and demeanor and integrity of Dr. Ben Carson we would not need a government.

Understandable. Can’t cut into his Egyptology studies.

He may feel he does not have the energy for it. He can be a good will spokesman.

I love Ben but taking a job with Trump as the boss when you already have it all. Not suprised.

Its a tough demanding all consuming results oriented gig.

I THINK BEN KNOWS HE IS NOT AN EXPERIENCED ADMINISTRATOR OF LARGE ORGANIZATIONS, AND KNOWS HIS BACKGROUND DOESN’T FIT THE JOB.

NICE THAT HIS EGO DIDN’T OVERIDE HIS SELF ASSESSMENT OF HIS
STRENGTHS.

BEN WILL BE A FRIEND AND ADVISOR FOR TRUMP

Anyone know Dr Carson’s home state? Possible Senate run to replace a Dem???? I suspect he has a fair amount of support from Trump and would work to push the conservative agenda by filling a Senate seat.

I wonder if he is doing this because he would rather run for office?

I have always believed Dr Ben will head up the committee or commision or what ever that puts together the several Republican plans for the Obamacare replacement.

That job keeps him away from the clutches and intrigue of a bureaucratic mess

To the best of my knowledge, he is a surgeon, not a lawyer. Kinda need to be a lawyer to be on the SC.

Carson might feel that he’s better suited to being a big-picture policy adviser than actually administering a department. I can’t say I blame him.

He's said he'd rather be out looking in, thinks he can do more. He's probably right, even with Trump in, the administrative parts of those positions are horrifying. And writing/signing performance reviews will do nothing to help the country.

Can people in those positions do more, yes but you can't get rid of basic structure.

I thought he’d be good for the job, but if he thinks he isn’t, he’s probably right.

America needs Ben! Ben was urged to run by supporters across the country. Dirty tricks pushed him out, but Ben stayed classy and was an early ally and supporter of Trump. Trump should hear Ben out, address whatever concerns and reservations he may have, and do his best to keep him a part of his Administration.

Dr. Carson does not have the stomach for the upcoming battles against 5the left and the MSM.

Thats why Ben did not win the primaries. He hasn’t got the fire in the belly. He is brilliant and wise, but he gravitates toward the consensual.

Good Luck Dr. Carson!

Could he be appointed as a Justice of the Supreme Court...

Yes. But who would be dumb enough to nominate him for that?
