What can be done to support and reassure Trump electors in the face of this unprecedented attack on the electoral college? Is donating to provide private security a reasonable and legal approach? What else?

Have these two potentially faithless Texas Trump electors been identified or is politico going with “anonymous” electors? If they have been identified, they will likely be replaced by more faithful elector candidates prior to the electoral college Election Day. Probably face significant pressure from the national and Texas state GOP to resign as electors if they still would like to keep their political “perks”.

Electors are normally political party loyalists (or hacks) who can be counted on to vote for their political parties Presidential candidate if they won their state.

Best to remind them to follow the will of the voters of their states and vote accordingly and to ignore outside pressure. If any GOP electors can’t take the pressure and are waivering, they should resign now so the party can appoint a more faithful elector!!

If they are threatened they need to report the threat to law enforcement and also their state party to ensure the prep is brought up on charges!

Their contact info including address is apparently made public. How are they going to know who the “perp” is? I say nip it in the bud and offer security to any one of them who has been threatened. It shouldn’t be difficult to raise the funding for such a thing with a national appeal.

Some explanation here of exactly how Hillary Clinton ongoing Campaign is harassing Republican Electors in Idaho and other states to change their votes.

Clinton Supporters Harassing Electors To Change Their Votes, Electors Doxed By Clinton Campaign Connected Person

This is, of course, not just happening in Idaho, but all over.

While it is true there is no federal rule requiring people to be ‘faithful electors, some individual states do make being a faithless elector illegal. Thus encouraging people to be faithless electors in those states is encouraging illegal activity and is itself illegal.

We had reported on Anti-Trump/Pro-Clinton forces putting out a petition which basically was encouraging people to call the electors and get them to change their votes. It even offered to pay their fine if they broke the law and went ‘faithless’.

Various lists of electors to call were floated around the internet.

One was put out by the account, @VoteHillary2016. The admin on the account is Steve Rosinski, a former advanceman for Clinton/Gore and a rabid Clinton proponent. Here’s a shot of him with Hillary.

The @VoteHillary2016 account doxed all the electors in a spreadsheet on Twitter (including the ones where it would be illegal) and encouraged people to call the electors, listing their addresses and their contact information.
Thus someone associated with the Hillary Clinton campaign was encouraging breaking the law to overturn the election results and throw the election to Hillary, and doxing electors on Twitter.

Once it was pointed out to @VoteHillary2016 that this was illegal, he deleted his tweet and wiped his Twitter profile so one wouldn’t see the connection to the campaign.

Some background on Hillary Clinton operative Steve Rosinski:

“The @VoteHillary2016 account doxed all the electors in a spreadsheet on Twitter (including the ones where it would be illegal) and encouraged people to call the electors, listing their addresses and their contact information.

Steve Rosinski, who was living in Los Angeles in 2008 and worked on the campaign doing everything from manning phone banks to planting yard signs, never gave up on Clinton.

He wrote in Clinton’s name in 2008, and even led a write-in effort for 2012. In an online petition, he wrote: “Mr. President, we thank you for your service. However, we must ask you to do the right thing for your Party and your country and step aside, much like Lyndon Baines Johnson did in 1968 when he read the writing on the wall as to his own chances for victory.”

“I was a little rebellious,” Rosinski said in a recent interview.

He still believes Clinton would have been a better president but allows that “things have gone in a good direction, all the progress that’s been made in the economy.” He believes that “Hillary can be counted on to continue that.”

Rosinski, an actor who now lives in Las Vegas, runs a Facebook page for Clinton supporters titled, “Rise Hillary Rise,” inspired by a famous poem by the late Maya Angelou, another Clinton loyalist in 2008. He is more than ready for Clinton’s 2016 campaign.

“This is the day I’ve been waiting for. I can’t contain myself. She is my champion,” he said, adding, “I think she’s the most qualified person to ever run for this office. She’s finally getting her chance and her respect.”

“I hate to describe it as an addiction, but I guess it is,” he said. “Meeting them face to face, there is something that says they are joining with me. I am one of them. This isn’t just a world leader, but this is someone who really cares about me.”

Rosinski tried to draft Hillary Clinton into the presidential race in 2012, gathering nearly 6,000 signatures, which he said nearly led to his excommunication from the Democratic Party. He now runs the Vote Hillary 2016 Twitter and Facebook accounts, a task he calls all-consuming, and said he still tears up when he hears the 1992 Clinton-Gore campaign theme song, “Don’t Stop Thinking About Tomorrow.”

“Think about those words,” Rosinski said. “It’s ‘Don’t stop thinking about…tomorrow.’ That is the whole thing, that optimism.”

“We haven’t gone anyplace and we feel vindicated,” said Steve Rosinski, 46, the founder of the Write-In Hillary 2012 campaign, an actor who moved from Los Angeles to Nevada for cheaper housing. “It’s not like we’re trying to say, ‘We told you so,’ but we’re still here saying that we know what the right answer is,” he said.

Rosinski said he helped out with advance work during Bill Clinton’s first administration and campaigned for both Bill and Hillary. He runs his write-in campaign “like a full time job, although I have a lot of help,” he said in a telephone interview with BuzzFeed. He has multiple volunteers who help him update his Facebook and Twitter pages (“They’re like campaign staff,” Rosinski said).

So, it’s an organized, nationwide effort of harassment, threats, intimidation and possibly even bribery of Trump electors, in an environment where some Republican party loyalists are not necessarily fully onboard with Donald Trump. Is that a fair assessment?

Yes, I would not be surprised with revelations that GOPe NEVER TRUMPERS are continuing to work behind the scenes to undermine the Electoral College votes for Donald Trump.

Republican Never Trumpers gathered to cheer, turned fretful, then wondered what happened

By William Douglas and Vera Bergengruen

McClatchy Washington Bureau
WASHINGTON

The mood swung from festive to fretful.

Hundreds of Never Trump Republicans – GOP voters who believe that their party’s nominee is too unpredictable and unprepared to be president – gathered in a downtown Washington, D.C., restaurant ready to celebrate his defeat to Hillary Clinton.

The alcohol flowed and the spirits were high when the evening began as patrons joyfully posed in front of a Trump cutout adorned in a black Never Trump T-shirt.

“Never in a million years did I think I would vote for Hillary Clinton…. I would have said you were insane,” said Andrew Weinstein, a Never Trump organizer who served as media relations director for Bob Dole’s 1996 presidential campaign and deputy press secretary for former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, R-Ga.

“This is an unexpected turning for me, but I think like everyone in this room I’m putting country over party and trying to stop a man who is dangerous for the country.”

But as the evening unfolded and the results rolled in, the party din turned to a worried murmur as Trump won state after unexpected state. At about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, the partygoers went home dejected.

The idea of him representing our country is sickening, nobody would ever respect our country again Miriam McCue, 22, a NeverTrump Republican

“People are clearly in shock here that this is such a competitive race,” said Cecil Wallace, who was a campaign aide Sarah Palin’s 2008 vice presidential run.

Weinstein tried to be optimistic, but said: “... The odds are real bad.”

“It’s turned into an excellent chance of Trump winning,” he said early Wednesday. “People are terrified; they’re scared about the outcome, scared for themselves. Trump is a vengeful individual.”

I would assume that, on a state by state level, GOP activists and insiders who would be prone to sympathizing with “#nevertrump” can be identified beforehand. Is this reasonable to assume?

I would think, and hope, that such a barrage of sniveling tripe would tend to steel them in their first resolve.

Already 2 republican electors from Texas saying they might not vote for Trump.

Will never happen.

This "news" is probably from the same people who predicted that Texas was "in play" for Hitlery.
