The most recent incident of a faithless elector came in 2004, when one Minnesota elector voted for the same candidate for both president and vice president.
The outcome of a U.S. presidential election has never been changed by faithless electors."
ID is the most Republican state in the country.
Moonbat idiots trying to bludgeon them into changing their votes are certifiably insane.
This is not the way to win over people and make friends.
ALL ELECTORS SHOULD REPORT ALL SUCH MESSAGES AND HARASSMENT DIRECTLY TO TRUMP & THE FBI.
FULL ACCOUNTABILITY FROM NOW ON .
Hard labor on the wall building crew for ALL these creeps & cretins
Imagine the pressure on those in swing states then.
Lunatics are getting desperate. This too, will fail.
Oh, like THAT's really going to get him to change his mind. Idiots.
Is this not, by definition, sedition?

Faithless Electors Switching to Hillary: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Insulting people is the way to win them over.
If this is their strategy, we have nothing to worry about.
Telling people they’re fascists for supporting Trump isn’t gonna make ‘em feel guilty. Just the opposite.
Yeah, right. Keep it up, punks. You’re doing a heckuva job.
Possibility Trump doesnt get 270 electors voting for him? Possibility some tampering could result in an electors vote not reaching the final destination?
Hillary just won’t go away.
I like how the article listed the names of the other electors in Idaho.
THEY ARE PUSHING US TO PULL THE TRIGGER...patience my brethren...
.
This is all the Left has ever had.
.
They all should be getting protection, but they won’t.
Dream on.
They have to flip 38 electors.
A tall order. Given the way they don’t respect the will of the people, good luck with it.
Its not going to endear people to them, that’s for sure.
“Today, it is rare for electors to disregard the popular vote by casting their electoral vote for someone other than their party’s candidate. Electors generally hold a leadership position in their party or were chosen to recognize years of loyal service to the party. Throughout our history as a nation, more than 99% of electors have voted as pledged,” the National Archives and Records Administration website states.”
How is the gov’t being in charge of elections of itself not a conflict of interest? Unfortunaty I have no obvious alternative.
My guess is that a maximum of two or three electoral college votes will be “faithless” and the most likely form of that will be abstention. I won’t be surprised if the actual number is zero or one, but will go with the prediction of two or three.
States should look at more effective penalties that will essentially make these votes automatic.
I wonder whether Republicans and the right in general would benefit from a system more like Maine and Nebraska use, namely two votes from the statewide vote, otherwise district by district. There goes the blocs of votes for Democrats in CA and NY but I imagine the math would render the same results just in a more complicated form. But that system could then be changed from designated electors to votes cast by governors (for their state) and by the elected congressmen and women (for their districts) in the House, state ballots to be opened before the reps vote.
At a rough count, the results in 2016 using my suggestion would be Trump 280 Clinton 258. A little closer than the current method.
