And not a peep from Obama

We know he's whispering to Michelle that "the police are acting stupidly", because all he does is blame the police and not his terrorist sons and his sycophants.

(Old Greek definition: The word sycophant has its origin in the legal system of Classical Athens. Having no police force and only a limited number of officially appointed public prosecutors, most legal cases of the time were brought by private litigants. By the fifth century BC, however, this practice had given rise to abuse by litigants who brought unjustified prosecutions. Such a litigant was called a "sycophant".

I have been in a few mobs in my day. Mis-spent youth, and all that...

Mobs are mostly harmless. But when they surround the police, and the police lose control of the situation, things can get really violent, really fast.

To police surrounded by a hostile mob, their only tool is a hammer, and all of those shouting protesters start to look like nails.

The police simply will not lose a fair fight. That is not what there are there to do. They live by the maxim “If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck”. They will apply whatever force is necessary to protect themselves, and they will be right to do so.

This is in Austin. Acevedo, the chief of police here is an raging pinko liberal from California, who never hesitates to run to the nearest camera and surround himself with minorities to condemn police violence and will fire an officer at the slightest error. The local police union here despises him and police moral here is really low.

Police are armed for a reason.

Does Texas not have Rangers anymore?

***************

They are still around but there isn’t one per county today.

As the police were arresting one of the protesters, a mob of hostile, angry liberals surrounded them...

There's another kind?

He’s had a rough week. Barry’s cocooning in a safe space.
It’s reprehensible on his part to say nothing to his zombies.

19th century protest does not work like it used to do. This is the Age of Info and the levels of violence around the world are reaching saturation levels among rational humans. Let the latter day Viet Nam war protesters suffer indifference on their trolley ride to the dustbin of history.

I’m hoping that this was the capital police (State) who will be much less forgiving of assaultive protesters and defending of lawful police officers (unlike Austin city.)

You know the cops inside the water cannon truck were laughing their heads off at that.

Kent State happened a few miles from where I grew up. It’s amazing how docile Leftist rioters become when a few of them are shot.

Yes, the Kent State shootings completely defused the situation, almost immediately.

Even credible threats to shoot rioters on sight works. Ask former Chicago Mayor Daley.

Since it’s in Austin, definitely. Texas ceded that once nice city to kalifornia fags long ago. They even say you can almost see Texas from Austin on a clear day.
