Megyn Kelly said Trump routinely attempted to gain favorable treatment from other journalists and commentators Trump offered to comp her 'girls' weekend' stay at his downtown New York City hotel He also asked to fly Kelly and her husband to visit Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida Insists Trump also tried to influence other reporters, but she wouldn't identify those in question Megyn Kelly says Donald Trump tried to give her gifts, including a free stay at his Florida estate and one of his hotels, in a bid to shape news coverage during the race for the White House.
The Fox News Anchor also insists that she wasn't the only journalist the president-elect tried to influence in the months leading up to his election win.
In her memoir Settle for More, to be released Tuesday, Kelly says the billionaire real estate mogul routinely tried to curry favor with other reporters and commentators.
She also believes that Trump was tipped off about a question she was going to ask at the first Republican presidential debate.

I so wish that the media would stop posting articles about the publicity-seeking narcissist Kelly. It’s annoying ... at best.
She is all about her and is a liar who tries to boost her ego and image. She is a prostitute who is her on pimp. She was against Trump before she asked the first question on the first debate. She tried to facilitate his defeat everyday... she failed... he won and she is still fighting him... she didn’t even get a participation trophy. Somebody send her a big box of tampons or a roll of paper towels with a rope tied on it.
She is so sick.
Vendors will offer clients tickets to their skybox for example. Of course it is purchased influence.
She did right to refuse it.
She did wrong to exclusively punish him for it.
She gets named most important woman by liberal media magazines. That’s purchased influence also. She should distance from those entities to be objective.
