Why not?
Trump is a civilian. He is not on the Federal payroll. This isn’t complicated.

Lincoln is with the wrong group, he should be with the tyrants
the common man and the Constitution both did very poorly under his reign of terror

Lincoln applauding the Constitution? Artistic license, I guess.

I think it NEEDS to be in the Oval Office so Trump sees it EVERYDAY and never forgets or overlooks the forgotten man again!! I agree, though some of the snowflakes here are nervous it might offend someone. There are too many nervous-nellies on FR. Donald says he's going to bomb the sh!t out of ISIS and we're supposed to be worried about a painting with the US Constitution in it?!
It would serve as a thought provoking remind to anyone entering the Oval Office as to why we elected Trump.
I could see Trump pointing to the painting and making an appropriate comment.

I had never heard of the term "Forgotten Man" until I watched a movie called "My Man Godfrey" on YouTube the night before the election. When I heard Trump use the term in his speech the next night, I was taken back by the coincidence.
The movie was a great old feel-good movie. I highly recommend it to anybody who hasn't seen it. It's just a nice story about a Forgotten Man.
My Man Godfrey
I wonder how much did Hannity pay?

This may be one of those things that just wont do in political circles. It is a slap in the face of many Dem Presidents. Perhaps but Trump is unconventional and doesn't care what the political wonks think. I wouldn't be surprised if he hung it in the Oval Office.

Part of this Trump POTUS is getting rid of this PC CRAP, the painting should be in the Oval Office !!!!!!

He’s no Norman Rockwell, no matter how hard he tries, I just don’t get the fuss over him.
To: thoughtomator
Yeah, and Kennedy supports the Constitution. Really. With Andrew Jackson no less.
Still trying to find Coolidge in it, maybe he buried him in all that shrubbery.

Interesting. The movie was made in 1936. Thanks.
To: dynachrome
That was a great thing to do.
Good ‘ol Hannity. He supported Donald fervently from the beginning.

I would guess that it is James Madison, the author of the U.S. Constitution, bending over trying to pick up the document he wrote from under Obama’s feet. But I could be wrong.
To: madison10
Agreed Madison helped frame the Constitution. At first I thought Adams but don’t think he was involved in it.

Hannity has been solid the entire time. Practically a lone media voice.
