Harry Reid has been driven from the stage, not by the Republicans, but by his own “supporters”, who sent him a message after losing control of the Senate in the 2014 election. Las Vegas thugs gave him a “bruising” for “losing”.
It was only shortly after that he chose to not seek re-election. His usefulness was at an end, and he was never going to be Majority Leader again.
I never believed that “exercise machine” story. Injuries were highly consistent, however, with a physical beating with blunt force trauma to ribs and head.
Although but a small member, the integrity of the U.S. Senate will see a much needed boost of its honor and integrity when Reid is no longer relevant.
