While the pre-election polls and exit polling the night of the election all showed Hillary Clinton likely defeating Donald Trump and becoming the 45th President of the United States, when the actual results of Tuesday’s vote were publicized late Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning, they showed a dramatically different picture.
News outlets offered glimpses into the shock felt by supporters of Hillary Clinton on election night as it became clear that Trump was leading in the Electoral College. Gaping mouths, tear-filled eyes, and the anguish of defeat were seen on the faces of horrified Clinton-backers at what was intended to be a victory party in New York.
According to one report, the shocking defeat rattled the Clinton campaign – all the way to the nominee herself.
Ed Klein, a former New York Magazine editor-in-chief who has written extensively on the Clinton family in the past, told News Max that a source close to the Clintons described to him a phone call placed by the former Secretary of State just after she realized her defeat was inevitable.
"Here's what I know - not my opinion," said Klein. "At about 6:30 this morning, she called an old friend. She was crying inconsolably. Her female friend - from way, way back - said it was even hard to understand what she was saying, she was crying so hard. This is Hillary we're talking about."
According to the unnamed source, Klein claims, Clinton blamed her loss on the FBI and President Obama.

I’m always suspicious of stories like this. Nobody in an ‘inner circle’ like this would take the initiative to tell the story, because it could so easily be traced-back to them. If the story is out there, it’s because HRC WANTED it out there, probably for the very reason you suggest - or for a sheerly spiteful one. Not showing up to console her followers was the epitome of classlessness (if that isn’t an oxymoron.)
I’m sure whatever heart she has was hurt - for some reason, a worldy office and title for their own sakes have been her one shallow ‘dream’ in life. But she was most likely in an uncontrollable rage.
TomGuy, your post 34: I was optimistic about this election, and got a big lift from Trump’s rallies over the weekend. But when we heard that she had canceled the fireworks, I KNEW we were winning ;-)
What I don’t understand is why they deny that there was a Trump phenomenon. Did they miss his crowds and the fact that he won the primaries by largely self-funding his campaign and spending less than the others? Hillary could have seen that the polls were overloaded with Dems.

I hope that someone on the inside, who was in the room with her, shot video in secret. I would love to see her infantile display splashed over every possible venue. Then have people tell us that she has the temperament to be President.

I actually saw a youtube of a talking hairdo walking through the crowd at Grand Rapids on the 7th, the one with Ted Nugent, and he was amazed at both the crowd and the enthusiasm, as if he had only just now noticed them. Perhaps it was just CYA, or perhaps they really were unaware of the howling hordes of supporters at every single rally.
Is that Hillary, or her doppleganger stand-in? Quite the overbite there that I’ve never noticed on PIAPS.
If that's true (or even if it isn't) what's somebody "close" to Hillary Clinton doing talking to Ed Klein?
If Hillary's the terror we believe she is, who on her staff or in her circle would dare leak the story to somebody as anti-her as Ed?
