Ralph Reed: Data Show Evangelicals, Catholics Delivered Key States to Trump
Breitbart ^ | 10 Nov 2016 | Neil W. McCabe

Conservative Christians gave Donald Trump 79 percent of their votes, Ralph Reed, founder and chairman of the Faith & Freedom Coalition, told reporters Wednesday.

That split left 15 percent voting for his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton.

"Evangelical Christians and observant Catholics made up 33 percent of the electorate, according to polling by Glen Bolger and Public Opinion Strategies. “It is the highest share of the electorate made up of conservative Christians in a presidential election in the modern era,” Reed said."

Anyone who did not vote for Donald Trump, himself a conservative Christian, is not a conservative Christian.

I don’t know how one comes up with such a concept, any more than there is such a thing as a wet ghost.

What about people who didn’t vote?

Wait, I learned on FR that practically all Catholics practically always vote Democrat, and that all of our problems as a country are due to them. You mean it isn’t true? [gasp]

I’m not surprised to see you make this post, given that you have been a consistent advocate for liberalism on this board while trying to concern troll against Trump. The outcome of this election must be very bad news for you and your pessimistic theology!

A Hillary Presidency would lead to Christians being jailed or killed, while a Trump Presidency will lead to a massive increase in people accepting Christ as the Savior. Anyone who denies this truth (and by not voting for Trump, they would do so) is either an idiot or a malicious entity.

I should have clarified the statement with “Anyone ABLE to vote for Trump”. My point stands.

I advocate consistently for the best I perceive is truth.

If it runs up against an ossified caricature of “conservatism” — so be it. We don’t need that caricature.

Sorry.

By the way I am thrilled, thrilled, thrilled over Donald and believe it a perfect example of the work of God.

HOWEVER, I draw a distinction between CULTURAL Christian (which is all you seem to have room for in your petty little head) and SPIRITUAL. Some SPIRITUAL Christians didn’t vote for either one. Put that in your peace pipe and smoke it.

By the way you put cart before horse. We can’t visit the hypothetical Hillary fork of history but God can, in His sovereign understanding. And sometimes it takes a PUNISHMENT like that to wake people up to the PUNISHMENT they would face in eternity.

I am thrilled, thrilled, thrilled that it apparently doesn’t, in this case. But I was fully resolved to accept the eventuality it was.

By the way yes I did color in the oval for Donald and submit the ballot, on Tuesday. So again your insinuations about me are off, like you usually are.

52% of White Women voted for Trump.

Somehow the media likes to avoid this little fact.

A non-vote or a vote against Donald Trump is an action that will result in much greater destruction of unborn human life.

All Christians with an above room temperature IQ can comprehend this concept.

President Trump’s SCOTUS appointments will be at least one or two, and possibly three or four.

Oh, so a “Spiritual Christian” would be perfectly content with Christians being unable to preach or spread the Gospel to their fellow man (and this WOULD happen should Hillary become President), according to your idiotic logic. According to you, we should be content with accepting the LORD and retreating to our quiet enclaves while society rots around us, smugly laughing at the imbeciles who will be burning in hell. I’m glad that the Scriptures condemn that nonsensical way of thinking.

All that is good is through God and God alone, but He expects us to use our brainpower and work to maintain everything which is good. The ultimate goal of Christianity is to get as many people as possible to recognize how great God is. To realize the SPIRITUAL potential of Christianity to as many people as possible, you must have a CULTURE which supports people reaching a personal relationship with Him. There are many individuals who can be spiritually intelligent even with a hostile culture, of course, but many more individuals need a culture which at least leaves them alone (an actively pro-Christian culture is the best option, of course).

Take a look at history. A Christianity that needs the state's permission isn't one that has enough spirit to fight its way out of a paper bag. When Christians were fed to lions, the result was very soon lessmore Christians.

God can go down either fork. I prayed for the easier one. I got it. However "whatever is not from faith is sin." I won't EVER get pompous like you and judge a Christian who isn't convinced that to vote for Donald is virtuous.

And my prayer now? That a Christendom in an easier situation will use it for the RIGHT thing and not for the WRONG. That it will not sit back on its laurels and become all cultural and proud of itself. But that it will thank Jesus for the signs and wonders and testimonies (as parallel to the case of Cyrus the Great and Nehemiah) and from such gratitude obey Him with gladness.

This isn’t “concern trolling” — it is 100% 24 Karat bible REALISM.

Try to actually be OBJECTIVE for once, Scrutator.

Frankly I had a spiritual hunch about Donald and his circumstances and that made the vote possible to make in faith. There were other ballot questions I left BLANK because I frankly was unsure of the Lord’s will.

An example of doing it WRONG was the early church. After centuries of all persecution, it found a friendly emperor and, falling head over heels, it accepted the offer to merge Christendom into the government.

Bad move. Very bad. Corruption, theological error, and more, and it took the Reformation to start heading out of that dark tunnel.

I pray and urge that, having learned a lesson from what happens when Christendom tries to merge into a government, that it in America will now keep itself separate from such a thing. There will never be a Church of Donald Trump, a Church of Mike Pence. Now this generation may turn out to be believing and flourish. But that doesn’t say anything about where the next generation will be. It might go downhill again for all we know. God has no grandchildren. The fathers can reach out, but only so far.

While it important to note that Christianity will never be killed off (as many are strong in their faith), most people are ultimately weaklings and submit to peer pressure. Look at how many Millenial idiots are Leftists simply because their peers are (and I’m not talking about silent conservatives, I’m talking about full blown belief in Leftism). Christianity did not spread in Rome because Christians were fed to the lions, it spread because Constantine smashed the Pagan Establishment of the time and made it safe to be Christian. It fell back into the shadows in Eastern Europe when the barbaric Muslims conquered Christianity, and it lost some adherents when the Catholic Church grew too arrogant for its own good. While the Catholic Church has always put itself over God, it became far worse around the time of the Reformation, to the point that Christians couldn’t even be personal with God anymore.

If you think I want a union between CHURCH and State, you would be wrong, and anyone who suggests that the CHURCH rule would be an idiot. What I want is a certain understanding in society that any who try to tear a man from his personal relationship with Christ will not last long within that society. Those who do not accept Christ, but do not attempt to infringe on the personal relationships others have with Christ, would still be welcome. (This is the flaw of libertarianism: while it correctly accepts that the State is inherently evil, it does not care about the outcome of society as long as the State is not involved.)

Trump has made overt signals that he intends to get the federal government out of the business of persecuting Christians, and to stop indoctrinating our children in unBiblical ideologies through the Department of Education. That’s not up for debate. Those who refuse to vote for him because he doesn’t meet their perfect standards (”oh no, he’s a little uncouth”) are either fools or evil. Unlike Romney or McCain, Trump has made it clear that he actually cares about ending FedGovt. interference.

We each need to find a personal relationship with Christ, but many men are weak and need safety before they do so. If they can manage to begin a personal relationship with Christ, even if it is through uncourageous means, God will be pleased.

Your palaver has NO room for the promises of Christ and denies history to boot. Oh what’s a few hundred years back or forth in your argument?

If God chooses to weed out the weak or challenge them successfully to become strong through seemingly impossible adversity, God does so.

Come back when you believe in the bible.
