President Barack Obama has not ruled out pardoning Hillary Clinton before he leaves office in early January despite her not being charged with a crime.

"The president has offered clemency to a substantial number of Americans who were previously serving time in federal prisons," White House press secretary Josh Earnest responded Wednesday when asked by reporters.

"We've got a long tradition in this country of people in power not using the criminal justice system to exact political revenge," Earnest explained. "We go to great lengths to insulate our criminal justice system from partisan politics.""

There is no tradition of letting criminals break the law with impunity.

There is no tradition of the AG meeting on an airport tarmac and then lying about the meeting.

He better pardon himself.

Non-citizens voting = felony.

He encouraged millions of felonies.

Only two days since the election and all mentions of Wikileaks have already been scrubbed from the “news” media.

Trump should make it clear he will investigate the birth certificate once and for all.

Even if he pardoned her, the Clinton Crime Family would not stop. They can’t. It’s in their DNA. I’d bet that within a year, Trump’s AG could find new crimes to indict her for. Maybe the net could catch Chelsea and Bill too.

No, it’s not political. It’s not personal. It’s about correcting a miscarriage of justice. Accountability is the reason. No one is above the law.

“please clear up if one has to be convicted before being pardoned?”

A president can pardon anyone he wants for any Federal crime regardless of whether any legal action has been taken. A president can issue a blanket preemptive pardon.

“Revenge”? “Partisan politics”? This is a gross insult to Americans who respect the rule of law. Have these people learned nothing at all? This attitude is what got them beat like a rented mule.

Did she do something that requires pardoning? /s

But seriously does he have to specifically state what he is pardoning her for?

Shhhhhh. As long as he doesn’t pardon, Bill, Chelsea, Podesta and all the other Clinton crooks - there are plenty of felons left to prosecute.

More importantly; Rush, Levin, Savage and FReepers need the daily drama for discussion.

They are mentioning that the meeting between Barry and Trump is lasting a lot longer than expected.

I believe that Barry is trying to get himself together and wipe the tear marks off his face after Trump told him that if he pardons Hillary he will pay bigly for it . . . and that all his illegal executive orders are going to be trashed as soon as January 22nd.

Maybe they even had a fist fight, but somehow I do not see Barry as someone that would want to go a round with the Donald.

Somehow I also picture Michelle’s neck swiveling around a lot like a bobble-head Michael J. Fox.

Is a decision by the US Supreme Court acceptable?

https://www.law.cornell.edu/supremecourt/text/71/333#writing-USSC_CR_0071_0333_ZO

...The Constitution provides that the President “shall have power to grant reprieves and pardons for offences against the United States, except in cases of impeachment.”

The power thus conferred is unlimited, with the exception stated.

It extends to every [federal] offence known to the law, and may be exercised at any time after its commission, either before legal proceedings are taken or during their pendency or after conviction and judgment.

This power of the President is not subject to legislative control...

Pardoning Hillary Clinton would not keep her cronies out of jeopardy. Bill, Huma, Chelsea and the rest would still be exposed. And Hillary could still be subpoenaed to testify.

There’s nothing to pardon unless a crime has been committed....oh, wait.
