If youve looked at the electoral results map, youll notice theres a bit of a stark difference between the red and the blue bits.
That massive blue block on the left encompassing California, Oregon, Nevada and Washington state stands out quite a bit against all of the red. So it may not be a huge surprise that people living in that Democrat-voting block are now looking at other options specifically, secession. Since Donald Trumps electoral victory was first announced, #Calexit has been trending on Twitter, with distraught Californians looking to form their own state.

When they figure that out, that will be the end of talk of "Calexit."
Would be fine with me!
Can it be accomplished by EO?
These geniuses don’t know they’re living off federal funds, our money. They wouldn’t make it three days on their own.
But I’d love to see them try.
Please do, Texas got a lot of their corporations anyway. Asylum to California Freepers of course!
Hopefully, they’ll just burn down their cities first.
I already thought California was out of the US. I was in downtown LA recently and thought I was in the middle of a large Mexican or Central American city with all the Spanish speaking people I ran into there.
Let um.. Conservatives it’s time to move.. Let the rotten government fall in on it’s self then move back and rebuild the once great state.
No. If they want to leave they can just move to Mexico or Canada. Or we could make north west Alaska a liberal safe haven. Or maybe they could off themselves as they are, after all, just parasites to mother earth that do nothing but exude CO2.
America needs to reclaim California.
Don't they have their own state now? Ha!!
If we went to war against the South for seceding, then we’ll have to go to war against California for doing the same. There is precedent here, afterall. After what happened in the Civil War and the questionable Constitutionality of going to war against the South, we should not let the West and East Coasts secede to practice a very degraded form of Marxism; i.e., PC or kitsch Marxism.
The reality of the civil war was not slavery. The reality was constitutional states rights. The end result was that the states don’t have the right to succede from the union. Lawyers today may be able to argue that more sucinctly, but it’s not hard to see the logic in not having the right to pull away.
As long as they take CALPERS and its deficit with them, they have a deal.
How about Pres Trump restores the rule of law, deports the illegals in California, takes fed funds from sanctuary cities and regular US citizens take control of California and return it to the days of Reagan.
A much better idea
How about the disillusioneds just leave and head for an exotic location where they can “diversify” the locals and bring their superior intellect and commerce to help the poor they claim to so care about?
It’s a Win Win
Yes we will not surrender those beaches, we will remove the illegals and take back our sovereign coastlines.
Eastern and Northern Californians would want no part of it. They’d stay, the Coastals can GTHO
This is the problem with abandoning federalism, and it will only get worse.
It is just out and out stupidity to try to rule 300 million people like Rhode Island.
