President Obama phoned Donald Trump early Wednesday morning “to congratulate him on his victory,” the White House said in a statement.
“The President also called Secretary Clinton and expressed admiration for the strong campaign she waged throughout the country,” the statement said.
Obama invited Trump to meet with him at the White House on Thursday to discuss the transition.
“Ensuring a smooth transition of power is one of the top priorities the President identified at the beginning of the year and a meeting with the President-elect is the next step,” the statement said.

As much as I can’t stand Obama, somehow I think his transition will be a lot classier than when Bill left the White House and they trashed the place. But I’m not counting my chickens just yet.

I’d be ok with Trump letting Hillary skate (given her health, she’s done politically), and Obama (assuming he’s actually broken laws). What I want to see are the weenies that suck up to them FRY, such as the computer geeks that copped an attitude during the hearings a month ago, and most of his underlings that did the same. They all did so expecting Hillary to bail them out...they (and mainly future people in those positions) need to understand that we have laws, and they apply even if you despise who runs Congress.

Obama will try to sell Trump on the idea of not pursuing charges against Hillary and her minions. He’ll succeed as well as he did in bringing the Olympics to Chicago.

One great thing about the Trump win is Pence. He is a great guy and could step right in if anything happened to Trump. A great selection.
