In a normal election year, questions about rigging the vote would be dismissed as a matter of tinfoil hat and conspiracy mongering. But this, of course, is not a normal election, and per a recent Reuters report, nearly 70% of Republicans believe a Clinton victory would be because of illegal voting or vote rigging. So, will the vote be “rigged” in favor of Secretary Clinton? Is there even a way to assess the prospect of foul play?
Yes, there is. While certainly not foolproof, a decent proxy of whether or not the vote is indeed rigged will be Trump’s relative performance in Michigan vs. Pennsylvania and New Hampshire vs. North Carolina. To understand why, it’s important to first review some background information.
Scalability
Integral to claims of vote rigging are electronic voting systems, or Direct Recording Electronic (DRE) Systems. Some swing states like Pennsylvania and swaths of North Carolina have these DRE systems, while other states like Michigan and New Hampshire have traditional paper ballots. Rigging the vote in a state with paper ballots would be difficult given the physical medium -- that isn’t to say that chicanery can’t take place, but it’s a lot harder. With a DRE system, especially in states like Pennsylvania where there is no paper trail or physical record of the votes cast, the prospect of tampering is far more viable and, more importantly, scalable. With a paper ballot, a corrupt official could stuff a few extra ballots, but with a DRE system, a motivated or well-informed hacker could stuff a few hundred thousand.

I voted this morning in Florida - ‘got to the poll at 0655 and joined the line. A poll worker announced “Hear ye, hear ye, this Poll is now open!” at 0700 ... we filed in slowly, identified ourselves, received our ballots and filled them out, and then got in another line. There were/are TWO scanners to feed the ballots and count the vote - one of them stopped working with the second ballot fed into it while the other one rejected a voters ballot because he hadn’t darkened the ballot enough ... the line grew while he redid his ballot and fed it into the scanner, and we all did the same and left the polling station. I hope those scanners stay operational throughout the day ...
I guess they never noticed that very thing actually happened a couple hundred times for Trump in the last year.
The only ones I’ve seen trying to fight for a glimpse of Hillary were the media.

How much did they pay people to do this? Was their a Craigslist ad??
Until there is the death penalty and quick public enforcement there will be fraud.
Or if GEMS is used on the back end; it is all electronic and nobody really knows (doesn’t matter if it’s a paper ballot or not), most of those are machine counted anyhow by feeding them in at the time the ballot is cast. The totals are reported into another system from each precinct, then tallied together - GEMS can be the middleman that nobody really talks about or understands, but is where the real chicanery can take place.
I’ve had my doubts for a long time about the fill in the circle ballots that are machine counted. No receipt of your ballot, no way to verify the ballot was cast correctly. It’s just like touchscreen electronic voting machines, but with a thicker veneer of legitimacy because you are using a marker to physically mark a ballot - you hold something tangible in your hands when you feed it into the machine.

Never saw a woman with a hijab on at an election. 3 with their husbands in the 10 minutes I was in the polling place. We’re being snookered.
In MO, they started the day at my polling place by announcing the voting machine wasn’t working, even though the news said they had tested them all a few weeks ago. Within probably 15 min a guy brought another one that worked. He was wearing a Hillary mask - no, just kidding.
But I will say if Trump were not strongly leading, that would have made me paranoid. We DO have a tight Sen and governor race!

I think any result other than a Trump landslide will be proof positive that the election was rigged. How we react after that will be crucial. Who agrees?
Well we know the rats cheat on everything-that’s what they do. And there is selective law enforcement that applies only to conservatives. This ‘country’ is a bad joke. Unless Trump wins we will continue a rapid descent into anarchy. If he wins maybe we can slow the collapse by at least 4 years.

It is beyond that; people would have a hard time reconciling the differences in rally attendance (that they’ve seen for many months) with news of a Hillary win.
