A carbon tax proposal in Washington state, scheduled for the ballot on Tuesday, has been drawing national attention for weeks as a result of the unexpected controversy its inspired among environmental groups, many of whom have outright opposed the initiative. And in the final days leading up to the vote, new voices have continued to join the fray, including influential players on all sides of the climate change conversation.

Also last week, economic justice organization Rebuild the Dream, founded by former White House adviser and current CNN commentator Van Jones, released two Facebook ads reportedly at a cost of $10,000 urging Washington citizens to vote against the initiative. This is in addition to the many social and environmental justice organizations in the state, including OneAmerica, Green for All, Front and Centered and the Washington chapter of Sierra Club, that have already spoken out against I-732, citing concerns that the proposal fails to directly reinvest in disadvantaged communities and clean energy infrastructure.

Carbon taxes were never meant for leftist progressive purposes as in “saving the earth”, they are designed to benefit the corporatist interests and the politicians they buy.
The tax structure will hurt small business and individuals and be easier for the big corporations to handle.
Its more to balance big government budgets, pay for education, schools, health care etc. etc. at the expense of the little people.
Lefty celebrities need to fly their private jets to Washington and resolve this!
OK!! Everybody pay attention!
Lesson for today:
1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.
2. The sun is a giant nuclear furnace that controls the climates of all its planets.
3. The earth is one of the suns planets.
4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.
5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.
Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?
They know they can’t just inflict this pain on blue states or people and businesses will flee. Like Obamacare, they have to make it nationwide and inescapable.
The good news is that even in the event of a worst case scenario today, it’ll still be at least 10 years before the D’s have imported enough destitute third world voters to overwhelm rust belt congressional opposition to a carbon tax. Hopefully, by then this preposterous gutter religion will have even further discredited itself so that no public will for energy suicide exists even in more liberal circles.
Libs think exclusively in assumptions. Everything with the big ball of nuclear fire in the sky must remain constant. Why? Because they need it to in order to make the case for more government control.
Obamacare premiums will go down. How do we know this? Because there will be a flood of healthy young people crawling over each other to buy plans. “Wait, what if they just pay the penalty and buy a plan only if they get really sick?” Shaddup-won’t happen.
The goal of the enviro-extremists is a world tax so nobody will have anywhere to flee to.
The point of the tax is to have a credit that can be sold back an forth, known as the carbon exchange. The financial sector is desperate to get into carbon trrading. Literally selling hot air.
Scam artists in the financial sector always like to borrow against the same collateral over and over and over again.
The global warming propaganda is an attempt to take financial fraud mainstream.
And they will be trained to not want to flee; those that do not go along with the program their envionmental communist masters have chosen, will vanish in the night.
Really telling how these groups are so greedy.
Nice job! (applause) Even volcanic ash shows what a much grander force Nature is than man. Argument from Intimidation is their only chance to keep using this junk science to enslave us.
Airtight. Locked up. Their hope, obvious tonight the majority of us still want to fight back. God help us if Trump loses.
