What exactly does a shadow ban do? I see that Wikileaks just tweeted.
Shadow ban: only followers can see your posts. Nobody else will stumble across them.
I follow @WikiLeaks. I can see all posts there. If you follow me but don’t follow @wikileaks, you won’t see any @wikileaks posts even if I reply to or retweet theirs, nor if you search for their content.
It quiets people without actually silencing them.
