The U.S. Supreme Court on Saturday reinstated an Arizona law that makes it a felony to collect early ballots, stepping into a contentious political issue days before the presidential election and dealing a blow to Democratic get out the vote efforts.

The unsigned order from the nation’s highest court overturns an appeals court decision from a day earlier that blocked the new law and drew celebration from Democrats. Groups immediately launched renewed effort to help voters deliver their ballots to the polls, then halted them after the high court ruling.

The Supreme Court decision called into question what happens to ballots that were legally collected from voters in the approximately 20 hours that the law was blocked. …

I’m so thankful to agree with a SCOTUS decision for the first time in a long time.

The entire voting system should be overhauled. Mexico - YES MEXICO - has a more honest and ethical voting system than we do.

Mexico does not allow any foreign nationals to vote in their elections. Hell, they can't even comment on their election. All voters must provide ID and get fingerprinted, they vote on the same day, and the media there is forbidden to do any of projections or exit polling.

Our voting system makes 3rd-world African countries seem modern.

This early voting is insanity. A system that was already rife with corruption and fraud is now exponentially compounded by the extended timeframe.

A federal law should be passed requiring all voting to happen on ELECTION DAY with the only exception of government officials such as servicemen who are deployed. It’s not that hard to get to the polls to do your civic duty if you choose. Maybe we should make it a national holiday that would eliminate any excuses from the complainers.

And yet when we try to do exactly that, Mexico has the temerity to throw accusatory rhetoric at us.

I agree with everything you say, but would add one thing. Keep it simple....President, VP, US Senate. That way, ballots for the whole state would be the same and it would be a smoother, faster process.

"... All voters must provide ID and get fingerprinted, they vote on the same day,..."

Doesn't Mexico know that it is racist to make people show an ID to vote? ppphhhgght... Everyone knows that.

How are they going to deliver the truck loads of ballots at the last min?

Still works in the Western States.

Cities like Seattle always have this incredible ability to come up with just the right number of ballots to swing the result.

Good for the supreme Court!

I wonder if lawsuits in other states (if there are any) can use this to their advantage in order to stop cheaters.

Ping; comments welcome here or in FRmail...

* The entire voting system should be overhauled. *

— STOPPING ELECTION FRAUD —

The People demand the following:

o FRAUD: Trump & the People DO NOT CONCEDE to election Fraud.

o AUTHENTICATION: Democracy requires an AUTHENTICATED Election.

o PICTURE: Ballot PICTURES are Required to Authenticate an Election, and of readable quality.

o SERIAL NUMBER: Each & every ballet Picture should have a unique Serial Number.

o ACCESS: The people, each person, can access & retain a copy of all ballot pictures with serial numbers.

During and after vote tabulation, bring several USB sticks and demand a copy of ALL ballot pictures, with serial numbers, of your county or precinct under FOIA act. Destroying the audit trail is illegal, such as, destroying pictures, images, or destroying records.

o RECORD: If Election Officials refuse to provide the “Election Authentication Information” to you, make a record; written, audio, and/or video, with first & last names of officials.

o DATE & TIME STAMP: Date/Time stamp the pictures of ALL ballots or the refusal info.

o Send your results to www.StopTheSteal.org and www.BlackBoxVoting.org

The entire voting system should be overhauled.

Starting with getting rid of early voting and mail in ballots. (Unless they are absentee)

Maybe that is the solution. One idea is to replace Columbus Day with Election Day as a Federal holiday. But I would prefer that everyone vote on the same day.

Another thing that needs to happen. Many places use electronic poll books to check in voters. There needs to be logic where the poll books will no longer accept checking in voters after a preset time when the polls legally close.

Election workers who look through poll books after the polls close to check in voters and vote on their behalf to skew results should be severely punished. You’d only have to make an example of a few of them.
