$600/hour is only slightly above the Laffey Matrix for attorneys off 30+ years experience. Some attorneys in the private sector are paid more than $1K/hour.

That’s a pretty standard price for lawyers actually, for clients such as these who have the access to funds.
What I find strange is there are some charges on a 2015 bill that were listed from 2014. No lawyer I know would wait so long to bill. Odd.
Maybe corrupt lawyers give corrupt Clintons a price break due to the amount of work they plan to get over time.
The bigger the clients’ checkbook, the higher the fee.
That’s pretty much standard practice in any variable-pricing business. Though those higher fees do generally come with superior customer service.
May have gotten a volume discount, depending on the market. That would be low for New York or Washington, about on target for San Francisco or Atlanta for a national firm. Dallas or Houston should be a little cheaper.

In Chicago a union plumber charges $129-150/hr, that includes overhead.
About $50 on the check and ~20 in benefits, plus workman’s comp, unemployment, SSi +++...

Same is true for when you bring in specialists from a company like IBM. They too may cost 600.00 dollars an hour. The specialist is not making that. He will have expenses such as hotel and food costs while on site, as well as, travel costs to get there and local travel expenses getting around by taxi or rental car. IBM, then gets the lion share. 8>)
