Majority of voters think Clinton acted illegally, new poll finds

A majority of voters believe Hillary Clinton has done something illegal, according to a new McClatchy-Marist Poll days before the presidential election.

A total of 83 percent of likely voters believe that Clinton did something wrong – 51 percent saying she did something illegal and 32 percent saying she something unethical but not illegal. Just 14 percent said she’s done nothing wrong.

By comparison, 79 percent think Donald Trump did something wrong, though not nearly as many think he did something illegal. Just 26 percent think he’s done something illegal, while 53 percent think he’s dome something unethical but not illegal. Just 17 percent think he’s done nothing wrong.

The deep suspicion of Clinton is likely a top reason she’s lost much of her lead and the race for the White House has tightened in the race’s closing days.

There was some poll a couple days ago (Rassmussen I think) that said 53% of likely voters thought Hillary should have been indicted on the email scandal in July. I find it hard to believe that 10-15% of those voters would actually turn around and vote for Hillary after essentially saying they think she should be in prison, (which is what she would need to win). But I guess we will find out Tuesday....

Yeah. I have a low information Republican friend who will vote Hillary because she is angry that Trump took legal tax deductions. I asked her if it was legal, how was it wrong? It didn’t matter. He shouldn’t have done it. I asked her if she took the legal tax deduction on her house. Well, that’s different.

I wrote that 53 number on white board at work. It was one of those buried nuggets... 53% think she should be in jail. Trump will win 53 - 45.
