I'm out of the prediction business, and no longer get my hopes up... but we have now seen about 8 consecutive state polls in key battlegrounds that show what ammounts to a Trump surge.

What are the odds that most of these polls have been under-polling Trump’s support all along, whether manipulated by the polling groups or guarded interest in Trump by some of the voters? I really don’t know. We don’t see any polls outside of the USC/LA Times poll showing Trump with a consistent lead on Hillary.

Good Michigan news.

I have no idea how to post an article, but today Monmouth has Trump surging in Utah, leaving McMullin in the dust.

Trump 37, Clinton 31, McMullin 24

Four days ago and we’re just now seeing it?

1. Either it is bogus or if it is real...

2. Trump is no longer 1 point behind but 3 points ahead.

I live in East Lansing. Big lib area. Yet Trump signs outnumber Clinton signs at least 50 to 1 Doesn’t mean it will shake out that way but I can’t imagine his support in non-lib areas.

I have tried to tell everyone since day one... Trump will take rust belt. Hillary never was going to play there.. Trump is going to take large numbers of working class white Dems, especially in this section of the country... Hillary can lose them and have any shot. It’s their biggest voting block and she’s going to lose a lot of them... Her support is down across the board every demographic.. She won’t get anywhere near O’s 2012 numbers and Trump is going to massively beat RomneyMcCain and Bush’s numbers in this region. He damn likely may beat Obama’s... Hillary can’t win... She’s going down hard...

Il and MN are the only states she has any shot at holding.

Any state she’s polling less than 5 up in she’s going to lose. Anywhere she is under 10 is a toss up.

Don’t believe the numbers, but believe the trend. Clearly Trump is surging right now. Hopefully this will be a replay of 1980 when Reagan was behind in the polls a week before election. We know what happened then.

Spoke with a pollster in Macomb Co. today. Trump VERY good there. Not as good in Oakland (”single digit deficit”). We don’t need to win Oakland or Wayne, just not get killed. But I don’t have the target % of what we need to get.

Also, he said in western MI republican voters are “coming home.”

Something’s happening out there. Two months ago, my daughter said her classmates were extremely anti-Trump. It made my daughter anti-Trump as well. When her friends came to our house, all they talked about was how “crazy” Trump was. It was a major topic of conversation! Well, her friends and classmates aren’t bashing Trump anymore. Now, those same kids are talking about how Hillary can’t be trusted, is a liar, etc. My daughter just turned 18, and she is voting for Trump. I promise you, she would NOT have voted for him two months ago. However, the anti-Hillary atmosphere at her school and among her friends has made her decide on Trump. I wonder how much this kind of thing is being repeated around the country.

On the “Wow was that a surprise”, several of my hard core lefty co-workers in MN are considering voting 3rd party.
Up until a month ago, they were all-in for Hillary.

It’s all about turnout. Trumps core is motivated but not those who are deciding at the end. Hopefully there will be enough of Hillary’s support who don’t show up notwithstanding her organization.

This is almost but not quite worthy of a vanity, so I’ll post it on this related thread. Since 9:00 am today, the following battleground state polls have been posted on FR. For comparison, I have included the bottom line for this year and the result from 2012. Assuming the polls we post are representative, and considering that the communist won 2012 by 3.9%, Trump is looking good!

Michigan http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3488842/posts
2012: Obama +9.5%
Today: Hillary +1%
Net gain: 8.5% for Trump

Colorado http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3488828/posts or http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3488722/posts
2012: Obama +5.5%

2012: Obama +5.5%
Today: tied or Hillary +1% or Trump +1% or Trump +5%
Net gain: 5.5% or 4.5% or 6.5% or + 11.5% for Trump

We need not let up praying to God that people will wake up and the scales removed from their eyes. Have these Michigan voters no conscience? Do they not know what is stake? Don’t they care about their children/grandchildren?

Add the “Brexit” type voters to that and Trump might be 15 points ahead.

I’ll repeat myself. Michigan is one of those states where Sanders did real well. hillary accepted pilfered questions for at least one primary debate. It’s not unreasonable to assume that some of those Sanders voters won’t vote for hillary because of that.
