(CNN)Texas Sen. Ted Cruz will make his first official stops on behalf of the Donald Trump ticket on Thursday. The former presidential candidate will appear with Gov. Mike Pence at rallies in Prole, Iowa, and Portage, Michigan, according to Pence and Cruz aides. He will make remarks at both stops before Pence takes the stage. Cruz, Trump's former rival, will fly on the Pence campaign airplane between the Iowa and Michigan rallies, per Pence spokesman Marc Lotter.

We’ll need Cruz in the Senate to help push Trump’s agenda past the likes of McCain, Graham, and McConnell.
Keeping his distance from the Trumpster still. Iowa is a good fit for Cruz, not sure he’ll help much in Michigan. North Carolina seems like it’d be a good stop for him to make. He almost tied Trump there in the primary. Cruz actually won Maine in the primary, so that one might be good. And he won Wisconsin.
I think it would be good for Cruz to also campaign in Wisconsin, he won the primaries there. Not that I like Cruz that much, but ok, yes...let’s heal....
