Hillary Clinton’s campaign is returning thousands of dollars in donations linked to what may be one of the largest straw-donor schemes ever uncovered.
A small law firm that has given money to Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Sen. Harry Reid, President Obama and many others is accused of improperly funneling millions of dollars into Democratic Party coffers. The program was exposed by the Center for Responsive Politics and the same team of Boston Globe investigative reporters featured in the movie “Spotlight.”
The Thornton Law Firm has just 10 partners, but dollar for dollar, it’s one of the nation’s biggest political donors, reports CBS News correspondent Tony Dokoupil.

All the donors that used this scam should get the same treatment that Dinesh D’Souza got for using an employee to strawman a donation to one of his personal friends. No mercy what so ever and 6 months in jail every night... What goes around comes around.
Pretty much what put Dinesh D’Souza in jail, except his crime involved a lot less loot. File the criminal charges. Worry about the technicalities of disbarment after they’re locked up. Nice of Obama to make space in the fed pen for all the incoming rats.
Hassan had to give back a slew of donations—which might be just the nudge needed for Ayotte to hold her seat in NH.
Another “straw donor” scandal breaking in Florida where the Dem 2016 Senate candidate took illegal donations from the Saudis.
The level of corruption in the Dem party is astonishing.
What caught my eye in this report is “The program was exposed by...Boston Globe investigative reporters”
I thought that the Globe NEVER went against Democrat corruption. That, by itself, is breathtaking.

It's been going on for a long time but FDR really cranked it up. Each new Dem digs the ditch a little deeper.
Now, that is really curious wording, considering the graphic on the main CBS page, shown below. See, it has filthy money flowing to a little stylized donkey and elephant. Almost as if they wanted the low info, non-reading viewer to assume both parties were involved. Either that, or the esteemed law firm also managed to hook a Republican dog catcher somewhere.
The other part of this story is the fact that these crooked lawyers have this much money to spread around. Charge them under RICO and confiscate everything each of these crooks have. Leave them penniless!
