Federal prosecutors to monitor Western Virginia election fraud complaints
Roanoke Times ^ | October 31, 2016 | Carmen Forman

Posted on 11/02/2016 9:16:12 AM PDT by Perseverando

Three federal prosecutors will monitor claims of election fraud and voting rights abuse in the western half of the state this November.

U.S. Attorney John Fishwick appointed Assistant U.S. Attorneys Charlene Day, Ronald Huber and Jennie Waering to serve as election officers for the district.

The appointments come as part of the Justice Department’s nationwide Election Day program for deterring election discrimination and fraud at the polls during the Nov. 8 presidential election.

“Every citizen must be able to vote without interference or discrimination and to have that vote counted without it being stolen because of fraud,” Fishwick said. “The Department of Justice will act promptly and aggressively to protect the integrity of this election process.”

Federal law prohibits voter intimidation and harassment. Impersonating or bribing voters, buying and selling votes and tampering with ballots and ballot boxes also is illegal.

Recently, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump said the election is “rigged” by the Democratic Party and the news media, and will affect voters and the polls.

The election officers can be reached while polls are open on Election Day. They can be reached at these telephone numbers: Day: 278-1475, Huber: 296-3912 and Waering: 857-2905.

The FBI also will have special agents available to hear allegations of election abuse. Call 334-5561 to reach the local field office.

BTW, Sens. Mark Warner and Tim Kaine recommended Fishwick, and President Barack Obama nominated him for U.S. Attorney. He was sworn in as U.S. attorney for the Western District of Virginia in 2015.

Roanoke is in the (540) area code which was omitted from the article.

Also, the FBI phone number given in the article is 334-5561. 334 is in the nearby Boones Mill, VA telephone exchange. The FBI office is in Roanoke.

The correct FBI phone number is 540-344-5561.

Either The Roanoke Times made a typo in the article, or they don't actually want anyone contacting the FBI.

Well Hillary is probably screeching “How can you be so unfaithful to me!”

But guess who made sweet to the cops. It wasn’t Hillary.

Psychologically, the beast has been all alone in her head for about 25 years.

No husband, unsatisfying lesbian companionship and propped up political positions all jumbled up in a (granted, leftist but academically valid) educated mind and you have one twisted set of thought patterns rat there !

Roanoke Times is so pro-demorats. Roanoke is a haven for them. Not the county, just the city.

Monitor like those commercials of the bank robbery monitor and pest inspector monitor. They’ll watch the flipped votes and the same person come in half a dozen times but never do anything to stop it.

Who are the election monitors for Eastern Virginia? Are they only putting observers in areas heavy for Trump?

But they don’t have their own enforcement personnel; they have to go to the appropriate policing entities.

Whom Donald Trump did not woo in vain!

Some would say that was “clever” of Donald, but I think it might not be so much “clever” as “just doin’ the right thing.” Nobody’s perfect and even Donald did not issue a blanket pass to all that police have done past and present or will do in future. However Donald kept a sense of wise proportion. The unreasoned rage of BLM was anathema.

WTH are they doing in western W Virginia? Wouldn’t inner city Philly be much more fertile hunting grounds for election fraud federal attorneys?

Good point... a distraction ploy? On the other hand, those cops aren’t absolutely stupid... they may say “ah, nothing to see here” and then find out that their chief has reported something interesting in some of these other areas.

It is not over until the plump femme does you know what.

Western Virginia? Which will likely go overwhelmingly Republican?

When everyone knows any shenanigans will take place in Richmond, Norfolk, Newport News, etc.?

Everyone in southwest VA is well aware of that. Dropped my subscription years ago. Many others have done the same.

They need to be looking at Northern Virginia. That has the highest concentration of dims. Fairfax, Arlington, Alexandria, just south of Mos Eisley “You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy.”

South Arlington is heavily peopled with immigrants (legal status undetermined), and hipster millennials.

Taking a copy of the Missus’ COD to the polling place to make sure she doesn’t/didn’t “vote.”
