Affirmative Action, Immigration and the Politics of Racial Solidarity
American Thinker ^ | October 31, 2016 | Ben Cohen

In his “An open letter to cuckservatives”, Jared Taylor wrote,

“Why do you evoke Martin Luther King when you call for a “colorblind” America? You know he wanted quotas for blacks. You evoke King because you think he’ll help you silence blacks and liberals. But it doesn’t work, does it? That’s because only whites -- and Asians, when it suits them -- even think in terms of “colorblindness.” Blacks and Hispanics will squeeze every unfair advantage out of you they can. At what point will they ever abandon their aggressive racial agenda? When they’re the majority just think how hard they’ll squeeze your grandchildren.”

Advocates of white identity politics have two basic arguments at their disposal. The first argument could be called the racial preservationist argument, and the second could be called the collective interest argument.

The first argument holds that national character reflects the genetics of the national population, therefore miscegenation and non-white immigration will radically alter the national character. As Jared Taylor put it, the future “Afro-Hispanic-Caribbean-Asiatic America” will be totally unrecognizable to the founding fathers, and completely alien from the America we grew up in.

Whatever relationship exists between national genetics and national culture, the preservationist argument has largely failed to persuade white Americans. In 1958 only 4 percent of Americans approved of white-black marriage, by 2013 87% of Americans approved of white-black marriage. For millennials, the numbers are even higher.

That much is true. Didn't read the actual article at the link. . .

Predicting the future is difficult. If whites ever fall below 50% of the population, what is to say that the other groups will act in solidarity? Will blacks and Hispanics see eye-to-eye just so they can oppress whites? Even the category Hispanic is artificial.

Anyway, depending on how many Democrats get elected President in the next few decades, by 2050 the largest minority in the country may not be blacks or Hispanics but post-2009 Muslim immigrants from the Middle East and their offspring, so the divide may not be between those favored by affirmative action and the rest, but between jihadists and the rest.

It is entirely un-Constitutional that one genetic or ethnic group be given advantage under the law over others. The Fourteenth amendment specifically forbids it.

Affirmative Action is an outrageous abuse of the 1964 civil rights act perpetrated by the EEOC under Blumrosen starting in 1965 and based on executive order 11246.

Especially outrageous is the idea that someone who immigrates here should be entitled to preferences for anything, simply due to their skin color or language. What injustice have they suffered at the hands of whites to deserve such? For all of human history, they have not been here, and chose to live here on their own.

None of these EOs or laws would have ever passed in 1964 if the truth had been told about the numbers or the effects. No sane nation votes to make itself a hated minority in its own land. The fact is that the urban Democrats - the Kennedys in particular - lied to push it through. Why? Hatred of white Protestant Americans, not any noble egalitarianism.

Taylor is absolutely right. It’s one thing to remedy past wrongs on a temporary basis and entirely another to issue edicts against the founding people of a nation against their will.

Are your reactions to Jared Taylor based on more than what is presented in this excerpt? I ask because the excerpt itself is true.

It is laughable when conservatives today try and claim MLK Jr as some sort of ideological ally. King did support quotas, and would almost certainly have been on the far left of the Democratic party going forward had he lived.

And it is crazy to think that the use of anti-white policies like racial preferences will cease as the demographic, electoral, and political power of those groups who benefit from them increases. Do you dispute that it will be worse for white kids going forward, as ever more non-white students get preference over them?

Really? Taylor is an idiot?

Where is he wrong? You think as “conservatives” that legal preferences for one race or ethnic group over another is a good thing? Especially for immigrants?

If so, what’s wrong with legal preferences for whites over everyone, as it was from 1787 to 1868, when it putatively ended? What is wrong then with “Separate but Equal”, as the Supreme Court declared in Plessy v. Ferguson?

If unequal treatment is allowable based on bureaucratic edicts, why can’t the founders of the country go back to doing it?

Maybe you haven’t heard of these things. Too bad, these were the defining battles of the last 150 years. And still are.

Taylor isn’t an idiot, and to the extent he is wrong we will need to do better than name calling to counter his arguments. In what’s quoted, what exactly does he get wrong? From my perspective, the problem with Taylor is his metaphysical naturalism that embraces Darwin. If you read his material, he would have been a pre-WWII Progressive on race issues. He says in public what Manhattan liberals say in private about blacks and “hispanics”.

So how do we whites work in a government and system that gives political power based on race except for whites? Not only how do we but why would we? We currently have many anti white laws and political groups based on race. i.e. the Black & Hispanic Caucus. All the while importing multitudes of Hispanics. The whole current system is insane.

I also add he is a fool. An anti-Christ fool, just as much as Obama.

They both try to keep us in the dark, divided with a spirit if fear.

It’s in their self-interest to do so.

“Are your reactions to Jared Taylor based on more than what is presented in this excerpt? “

Yes. This is just par for the course in stupidity.

Taylor is the kind of guy who single handedly disproves white supremecy.

It’s the worldview, not the facts. Argue facts with him, and you lose. Take up the worldview issue, and people can see what the problem is.
