In the last few weeks more Hillary yard signs have popped up in the rural area immediately east of Pittsburgh. Mostly in ‘common’ areas together with signs for other Dem candidates.

We still have WAY more Trump signs, billboards, flags, bumper stickers,... and the Trump House.

Have these votes actually been counted/verified, or are they ASSUMED because the voter returning the ballot is a registered Republican??

Blue collar hard working Pennsylvanians who would never have gone out for Romney or McCain are coming out for this election. I have seen sooooo many more Trump signs than the two of those guys combined in Pennsylvania. He has a good shot here if Philly doesn’t hand over the fix.

No. Not a chance. Especially since Trump is not contesting those states. He is in states that he thinks he can win.

It's more complicated than just flipping votes. One out of four votes come from Northern Virginia, which is increasingly liberal due to the mass of both federal and state workers in Northern Virginia. Also, the biggest county in Virginia, Fairfax - over 1/3 is foreign born now and they vote overwhelmingly democrat. Add the Norfolk/Va Beach area and Richmond liberal areas and the rest of the state can't outvote the urban areas.

You add four years, and there are more foreign born voting and more governmental workers and it is tough to overcome.

Also, about 1 in 5 votes are black votes and the republican candidate has a distinct disadvantage.

Now, it is likely the black vote will be less this year. If the black vote goes down just 2% of the total vote, then that is about 80,000 less Clinton votes. It all depends who shows up.

No. That is not going to happen. Alexandria and Arlington vote about 70% to 75% democrat. That is a given and the voters in No Va are highly political. They aren't going to stay home.

Fairfax County supplies about 1 in every 7 votes in the state. The rule of thumb is the republican needs to get at least 40% of the vote in Fairfax to have a chance of winning. Cuccinelli got 40% and still lost 3 years ago by about 10,000 votes. Virginia Beach should be solid republican, but it is now only about 50/50 and it is the largest city in the state. So, add 4 years, there are even more foreign born and more govt workers.

There will be less black votes which is generally about 20% of the vote.

This state will be tough to win and will continue getting bluer and bluer every election cycle.

Except for Tidewater and Richmond - the rural areas have a hard time outvoting these urban areas, but that is true in all states. Va Beach is only about 50/50 and should be solid red, but it is not.

If Trump does that he should be sued for malpractice when he can have a rally in a state he can win.

Virginia is absentee ballot voting, not early voting. But the number of absentee ballots is up significantly this year.

Clinton pal Terry McAwful is our governor and doing everything possible to deliver Virginia to Hillary’s column, including restoring voting rights to felons.

I travel the state regularly and can count on one hand the total number of signs I’ve seen for ALL candidates combined (including those in state/local elections) - unprecedented. Also a statewide electrician called into the Jordan Levy show last week to say that of 30 random customers he queried, more than half were voting Trump, only 4 Hillary and most of the others were undecided/disgusted with both. Granted it’s a small, non-scientific sampling, but it wouldn’t shock me if it were more in line with the actual electorate than most of the so-called polls out there.
