Former Democratic congressman Anthony Weiner is cooperating with authorities in the FBI investigation of his laptop that contains emails that prompted the Federal Bureau of Investigation to reopen its probe into Hillary Clinton's use of an unauthorized email server.
The news that Weiner is cooperating, reported by Fox News' Bret Baier on Sunday, would help law enforcement with the investigation, since officials didn't yet have a warrant to read through the material found on the device.
Though FBI Director James Comey told lawmakers Friday his agency found emails related to Hillary Clinton's private email server, he didn't yet have a warrant to read them.
As of Saturday night, the FBI had not received a search warrant from the Justice Department, an unnamed agency official told Yahoo News, but the agency was in talks to get one. When Comey wrote the letter, "he had no idea what was in the content of the emails," said one official....

The blackmail angle is interesting. Why on God's green earth would Clinton allow Huma to marry such a know retropate? My theory is that he had the goods on some kind of Bill sexual situation...proof positive...and basically blackmailed Huma and Clinton into the marriage. Once he did that he had the motherlode...

Yep I’ve heard that there is a hierarchy of sorts in prison life, based in part on what you are in for. And perverts/molesters are at the bottom.

This doesn’t make any sense. How would the FBI know the emails were from Clinton’s server unless they read them?

This is a curious thing. The warrant is for Weiner’s laptop. So, on his laptop....apparently, is the PST file that was for his wife’s office email. Several questions have come up, and the FBI is asking for a meeting with Huma’s lawyers to get permission, which is odd....you should just go to the judge and ask for a search warrant. But the NY cops have already noted the file is there, and has some ID related to Huma.
My thinking is that Weiner put a copy program onto her laptop and copied this months ago. As for why....it’s anyone’s guess. It might be interesting to ask him.

How can they know what an email relates to UNTIL it is read?
Count me as cynical. None of these people deserve any immunity, yet it’’s being spead around to many people for no reason — meaning the final result so far has been everyone escapes consequences. In the future the spin will be this whole thing was a witch-hunt and an attempt to throw the election, because after all, nobody went to prison!
It's possible that if Huma has divorced him, or has established a legal separate residence, and if the computer was under his control, that he could voluntarily sign a consent to search and seize all contents on the computer without the issuance of a search warrant.
You're facing 30 years Anthony. What are you going to do? Even if Obama pardons you, you can be prosecuted under State charges. Definite ROCK and a HARD place isn't it?

But suppose it comes about that he gives legal consent, and the FBI has all the emails, and there is clear evidence of espionage. What does Lynch do now? Refuse a prosecution?

Another thing is that child molesters are generally creepy dudes and socially awkward. In jail, or society, they don’t fit in well.
This has to be driving Hillary crazy. Anthony Weiner does not have a reputation for keeping his mouth shut. I don't see him as someone who would be willing to take the fall for Hillary or anyone else. He's probably singing like Frank Sinatra right now.
