Not yet. I listened to Trump last night and he talked quite a bit about Gruber and Gruber's lies. The more Gruber talks about higher penalties, the better it is for us.
Why does anyone listen to this Gruber guy? For a guy with no power and a big mouth, he’s done severe damage to the healthcare system.
Yep, I paid the penalty the first year, have had insurance the past 2 years and never met my deductible (got $0 in co-pays). I’m better off paying out of pocket, by far.
A lot of voters actually believed it would be great. I spoke to some who actually thought that, “Everyone will have FREE healthcare.” When I told them what would actually happen is that eventually NO one but the elite few would have any REAL healthcare at all they thought I was crazy.
ObamaCare doesn’t really give much to people in the way of choice. And this insanity of increasing penalties on the taxpayer to prop up a failing program the American people never really wanted is the height of stupidity.
Apparently that’s what they teach in the economics department!
Somebody should make a cartoon of a drowning woman being dragged down by an “ObamaCare” octopus (we all can name the arms) with Gruber in a small boat (label possibilities there too), whacking her over the head with a club named “bigger penalties”.
The only solution is to abandon the ACA enmasse and boycott the Heathcare Insurance company Racketeering that wrote Obolacare.

A higher penalty wouldn’t help — people would discover that the only way the IRS could collect that penalty is to seize it from your tax refund. That’s easy - just underpay by 5%, never have to pay the penalty.
The law prohibits the IRS from using their usual collection procedures to collect the ACA fine/tax/penalty.
