Poll: Americans Don’t Want Clinton’s Australian-Style Gun Control, Overwhelming Majority Oppose(T)

A poll published on Wednesday shows record opposition to gun bans from the American public.

The survey, conducted by Gallup, found 76 percent of respondents thought there should not be a law banning civilian ownership of handguns, a four-point increase from last year and an all-time high in the 57 years the question has been asked.

The poll also found that 61 percent of respondents are “against” a ban on certain semi-automatic rifles—often referred to as “assault weapons”—, a ten-point increase since the last time the poll was taken and an all-time high since Gallup began asking the question in 1996.

Butt, butt, butt........... I bet none of you caught helldabama uttering 3 words when she talks about the 2nd did you? "I believe in (getting rid of) the second amendment." You have to listen real close. And look for the crossed fingers when she says it too. Sadly, a couple of states are dealing with initiatives that nannie bloomers and the momunists are pushing for intergalactic background checks. We voted yesterday and marked NO! on "Question 1" here in NV. Lots of money going in to Vegas to 'con'vince the low info voters that it will stop criminals from ever, ever, ever getting a gun again in NV. Oh, and put and end to domestic violence as well. Toenail fungus? Maybe.

I was raised in a family which had long guns. I NEVER worried that we should NOT have guns. We were taught to use them when young, and we shot rabbits & squirrels AFTER the first hard freeze of the year. Food for the table.

Have brothers & nephews who go deer hunting & use every scrap of that meat. Makes great sausage.

I was raised rural. Lived in Milwaukee ( DAMN GLAD I don’t still live there!!!), and lived in So Calif suburbs for 29 years. Then lived rural again in N Calif, then lived rural again in N Nevada.

Have gone from 1 to 2 to 3 weapons. Different reasons. Even in So Calif, I would have been amazed IF the LAPD could have gotten to me in less than 7 minutes.

ALOT can happen in 7 minutes. Use your watch & time that for yourself.

Longer wait time in N Calif & even longer now in N Nevada. Cutbacks since the economy collapse. Some days we don’t even have a deputy assigned to our valley-—of over 5000 persons. If anything does happen, seems to draw out ALL the deputies to that location, so mayhem can happen elsewhere.

I absolutely am NOT going to abdicate MY SAFETY to Shrillary-—her cations—and only a telephone. For someone who has had Secret Service protection since 1992, she is talking stupid. How about we withdraw ALL of her SS protection? Then she can “Use her phone’ & wait like the rest of us.
