Outside of a few sites, this news is getting buried by the media. We know damn well if it had been about GWB or McCain, it would be the lead story on all the networks with “team reports”.

Excellent book and worth an entire read. It’ll surprise you on one of the main issues of failure with the Pilgrims. If I recall correctly, the Nixon mention is toward the last forty pages of the book.

So if Hillary is elected President every time she is Drunk. Cheryl Mills, John Podesta, and Bill Clinton, even worse Maybe Tim Kaine will be running the country.
The people who were around him testify otherwise. They state that he had a drinking problem earlier, but he stayed away from booze during the campaign. He didn’t really drink that much in any case because it didn’t take much to get him drunk. As the Watergate scandal grew worse, then I would say yes he probably did drink more.
It’s very popular to pile on Nixon for every sin imaginable, but I think this drinking stuff has been exaggerated, not unlike Ulysses S Grant who was not the drunk he’s portrayed to be
Some people do point out....there’s a minimum of two versions of Nixon. There’s the VP era where he had no issues and rarely ever did anything stupid. Then you have the era of the first two years in the WH where this drinking as noted and observed. And there is the last twelve months where he had serious issues, and like you say....probably did drink more.
He was a complex guy....very clever and intelligent.
I could show you multiple examples of people around Nixon to contradict the idea that he was so drunk all the time his first two years in office. I simply don’t believe it.
