Donald Trump Offers His Version of ‘New Deal for Black America’
NY Times ^ | Oct. 26, 2016 | NICK CORASANITI

With less than two weeks before Election Day, Donald J. Trump returned to a policy-focused message in an address here Wednesday that he billed as “a new deal for black America.”

Mr. Trump laid out a platform that combined elements of his education proposals, tax cuts and immigration policies to revive urban areas that he has described as blighted and in despair.

“That deal is grounded in three promises: safe communities, great education and high-paying jobs,” Mr. Trump told the crowd of roughly 700 people, gathered by invitation, in a more intimate setting than the raucous rallies that are the trademark of his campaign. He offered a few new proposals, including a plan to use tax holidays to help cities, a plan to encourage foreign companies to invest in blighted American neighborhoods, and a new “federal disaster designation” that would help direct funding to poverty-stricken urban areas, though Mr. Trump did not mention where the new money would come from.

Just a small nit to pick.

He should use the term “well” instead of “high” when referring to pay rates

Well paying jobs, not high paying jobs

Look up “prig”, then go be one somewhere else. High is just as proper as well and the term is in common usage. And of course, you do know that in English THAT is the standard. There is no l’academie francaise in English sport.... THAT is why it is taking over the world.

I heard it said that Englsh beats up other languages in alleys, and rifles through their pockets, looking for loose words and spare usages.

I meant that, at least to me there is a difference between high paid and well paid.

A well paid person is someone who is paid what they are worth without having to deal with factors that artificially drive wages down (illegal immigrants). High paid, has, at least to me the connotation of lots of money.

A service worker at Wendy’s making $8.00 an hour is well paid. But, that is not a high paying job.

The economy needs jobs at all levels, entry level, and for those with higher skills and abilities.

It’s also proper to respond to the question, “How are you doing”, “I am well, thank you.”

But if someone answers, “Doing good”, you will understand their meaning perfectly well.

In many households, the proper answer sounds stuffy and affected.

I’m glad to see this and it should be pushed aggressively, not only as campaign material but policy in fact. The last Republican to really put effort into something similar was Jack Kemp, and his method was too abstract and too remote in reward. The Trump plan has immediate application and relevance.

Trump will be MUCH MUCH better for ‘black people’ than an exploitive racist lying Corruptess whose name happens to slip the mind just now

BUT

Trump HAS TO GET THIS MESSAGE TO BLACK PEOPLE (AND SIMILARLY TO LATINOS). The problem is that both the mass media and the focussed =-black channels are 99 percent TOUTING for HilLIARy

Trump holds wonderfully effective rallies but that only reaches a small fraction of the millions of folks he needs to reach

IT IS TIME FOR A MASSIVE AD CAMPAIGN, both in the major media and in the focussed media, especially electronic, that reach all these potential voters for Trump

Having been NYC centered for so long, Trump should know plenty about the dysfunction of ‘Rat Utopias.

I have said it before and I will say this again, Trump needs to go into the inner cities of Philly, Pittsburgh, Detroit, Baltimore, Cleveland, Milwaukee and any other city in a battleground state to push this agenda. He needs to go in and talk to the residents, get on black radio, etc.

If there ever was a time for a GOP candidate to get a larger than normal share of the black vote, this is it. There is no enthusiasm from black voters for Hillary. Here is the evidence: some hip hop dude named Jay-Z will be doing a minority get out the vote concert in Cleveland for Hillary. You don’t do this if Hillary has such a wide lead as mentioned by the MSM.

If Trump aggressively courts the black vote, he can win 20%. He does that he will win big.

Trump’s proposals make sense. He wants to “Make Ameruca Great Again” for EVERYONE. >>> he is doing a great job. I remember getting burps from Cristine Todd Witman at a meeting after asking her about making Camden, nj a tax free zone.
