Washington (CNN) Hillary Clinton's edge over Donald Trump is dwindling in New Hampshire, a new Monmouth University poll shows.
Clinton leads the GOP nominee by 4 percentage points, within the poll's 4.9-point margin of error and an apparent decrease from the 9-point edge she enjoyed in Monmouth's September survey.

Those polls are ancient. The only one slightly recent has Hellary ahead. And they aren’t even pollsters I recognize as the big boys.
I’d bet a lot that he won’t win it unless he also wins NH, in which case he doesn’t need CD2. He should focus resources on NH.
What’s different in your map vs. the one posted at 37 here that drops him to 266 from 269? Removing Maine CD2 I assume and what else?
She looked especially worn down on Fox today during her stump speech and it was an unremarkable collection of “Why Donald sucks” stories. Doesn’t she have ANY thing she wants to run on besides “Donald sucks worse than me?” She is a horrible candidate.
Yes, the momentum is palpable. The undecided are breaking and the 3rd and 4th parties are shrinking while Trump gains. The Republicans are coming home as well. This thing is moving hard to Trump.
We’ll see only a few days left. Trump’s campaign sure thinks he can take it, and the Maine governor I believe said it too.
And it is why Trump is going back to Maine. Don Jr. recently campaigning in Maine this Friday.

“He will speak on Friday afternoon at Open Door Christian Academy in Lisbon, where 41 percent of voters are unenrolled. Trump hopes to win at least one of the states four electoral votes.”
Lisbon is in CD 2.
Pigs are flying somewhere. CNN is reporting Hillary has a “shrinking lead”,,that in itself is news!
Helmut Norpoth basically based TRUMP’s Presidency on how well he did in New Hampshire
No reason to believe he won’t win that State!
Obama drew enthusiasm and woke a dormant chunk of the electorate because skin color. McCain and Romney were dull milquetoast Republicans.
Trump commands enthusiasm and has summoned a great swath of disillusioned and non-participating plain folk who view his candidacy as a powerful amplification of their voice that Washington cannot silence despite threat and treachery. Hillary is a D-robot with a shrill, raspy canned voice.
In both cases the polls are not taking into account the enthusiasm gap and hidden support. And one case is far more energetic than the other.
Regardless and as always, we have work to do, and this year, with the wind at our back.
I live in Maine CD 2.
Yesterday, I drove 20 miles from Ellsworth, Maine in Hancock County to Bangor, in Penobscot County.
I saw 10 Trump signs, but not one for Hitlery. Some of the Trump signs were gigantic.
Don Jr. was in Maine yesterday. He was at a gun store / gun range in Gray, Maine.....at a hot dog stand in Lewiston....and at his father’s campaign headquarters in Auburn.
His brother Eric spent the day in neighboring New Hampshire.
The liberal Bangor Daily News, aka Pravda on the Penobscot, mentioned that Nate Silver gave Trump a 75% chance of winning Maine’s 2nd Congressional district in September.
A liberal outfit affiliated with the Maine People’s Alliance now gives Hitlery a 51.5% chance of winning Maine CD 2.
I’m not buying it. The Maine People’s Alliance and anyone connected with them are ultra-left moonbats. That bunch makes Hillary look like Sarah Palin in comparison, that’s how far gone they are.
1 EV from Maine instead of 4.
Oh, I thought Maine was pink on his map because he did split it.
NH folk hate political corruption with a passion, that’s why we only pay our reps $100 per year in compensation to serve. Bring on the term limits and Mr. Trump!!
Kelly Ann Ayotte looks are also a plus, or are they? She is good looking, but also very smart!
There’s been no redistricting in Maine. We only have two congressional districts.
The 2nd congressional district is roughly 80% of the state.
In area, it is the largest congressional district east of The Mississippi. VERY strong 2nd Amendment country, too. People are really into firearms here.
For a couple of years, a local fire department had a raffle where they gave away a firearm every day in the month of May. It was called “Win a gun a day in May.” They advertised on the radio.
It also helps that we have an ultra-conservative governor, Paul LePage. He always says what is on his mind, and he drives the democrats absolutely up the wall. He is very outspoken, which gets him into a lot of trouble, but it makes me like him even more. Our governor makes Donald Trump look reserved!
Okay, one more time.
Yet the state’s voted overwhelmingly for Democrat Presidents constantly, with bigger winning margins than in NH. I know LePage was very pro-Trump. All I can say is I hope something changed in the makeup of your state in the last 4 years to swing it to the GOP for the first time since 1988. I DO see that Perot did great there in 1992, beating Bush. So maybe Trump has the same kind of anti-establishment factor Perot had that Maine likes.
Total Republicans voting: 284,120 votes
Total Democrats voting: 250,983 votes
So, turnout is going to be key.
New Hampshire - Live Free or Die!
Bernie Sanders 151,584 60.4%
Hillary Clinton 95,252 38.0%
Monmouth had Iowa dead right in the primary.
