How Mitch McConnell won the SCOTUS fight (for now)
CNN ^ | Sept. 29, 2016 | CNN Politics

September was not a good month for Merrick Garland.

The Obama administration's efforts to reignite interest in the Supreme Court nominee fizzled. Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said for the first time that if elected she would look widely for candidates rather than commit to Garland. And no mention of the shorthanded court was made in Monday's debate.

I was googling Mitch McConnell to see what he has been doing lately. Seems like he is highly under the radar, for whatever reason. Came across this article. It is only fair to give credit where credit is due. McConnell did a good job on this Merrick Garland nomination.

Conventional wisdom is that GOP will settle for Garland in the lame duck in the unlikely event the lying criminal wins, as he is arguably better than any far left commie hack she would nominate after Jan 20.

But what is to stop the Dems from voting against Garland in the event of a lying criminal victory - in order to ensure an even more leftist ideologue takes his place? Or maybe they would force him to withdraw his own nomination - via blackmail or threats to his family?

If it takes a genius to avoid a troublesome vote, then the Senate has always been full of geniuses LOL!

Trump stopped the vote. Or, more accurately, his supporters.

I'm with you on DemonicRATS using this tactic against their enemies.

But Garland is almost certainly a friendly, who would not require that much haranguing to step down. He probably already agreed to withdraw in said hypothetical circumstance, in exchange for being nominated.

That's how this establishment corruption works.

The rats know the election is fraudulent, so they don’t think they care whether BO or HRC appoints the next justice. If they thought it mattered, they would complain. They are more informed about the existing fraud than we are.

Probably right. McConnell is biding his time. Garland is anti Second Amendment and, as such, should be out of consideration.
McConnell should be backing the party nominee as should Ryan. But they are as corrupt as Hillary and her co-conspirators.

Garland will never sit in the Supreme Court.

If Hillary were to win, Obama would withdraw the Garland nomination.
