I would word the changes slightly differently, but you are on the right track--except with respect to the military, both active & on pension, etc..

See Threat To Liberty.

A war fought with stealth and surprise? It may have to eventually come down to this? They are hoping we will fight them in traditional styles so they can kill us off in droves. If it comes down to this lone rangers or armies won’t due. It will have to be organized, secret and effective.

That’s precisely my former argument, but, as Jefferson noted, how do you ensure that enough of the people have good information most of the time? And how do we get enough good, effective candidates, when they’ll surely get labeled racists and worse, and know they will face a hostile media. ??

It’s great that Cantor got bounced, but it changed the overall direction by how much? There are too many moles for “whack-a-mole” to work, it appears.

Once Mr. Trump is elected, he hires all new federal prosecutors, letting them know there is effectively a “bounty” on rooting out unlawful actors in the government. Those who successfully indict and prosecute the most of them move up the chain.

Those who are not so active, for whatever reason, are tasked to vigorously start prosecuting non-governmental criminal actors who have been ignored by the Obama administration. For example liberal and leftist organizations actively involved in public agitation, riot and vote fraud.

At the same time, Mr. Trump should keep Obama’s disgusting Operation Choke Point, but instruct the Justice Department to change the *targets* of Choke Point to leftist and corrupt organizations like Planned Parenthood. Choke Point openly coerced the banks to deny legitimate businesses banking services. Imagine what would happen if they did that to PP?

Similar question: “Does the right to bear arms” mean you only have the right to march in formation, or are you allowed to actually use them in the face of tyranny?

So if someone shoots a tyrant, is the 2nd amendment a good defense in court?

Corruptiion by public officials while in office.....warrants immediate summary execution, and all of the assets of their families are forfeit, including any philanthropic “foundations”.

Same, unfortunately it was allowed to get this far. Although I personally could not have done much to stop it I am still ashamed.

I suspect that the reality is that in order for meaningful change you'll need a scenario somewhat like what happened in the novel Unintended Consequences. The trouble is, that particular novel was written before the powers that be managed to implement pretty much universal surveillance all across the US. If you doubt the level of this surveillance, just consider the cameras that you see at every highway intersection with a red light. Think about how easy it would be for someone to track back through just those cameras if they want to identify someone traveling. Toll roads don't even need to be manned any more. They just read your plate. There are other methods to use to identify automobiles as well. If you have a recent model car, chances are you have sensors in your tire that monitor air pressure. There is no physical connection to the controller in the car. It's all done wirelessly. These wireless transmitters also have unique identifiers in them that they use to make sure that the car is only talking to its own tires, and not any of the vehicles that you are around at the moment. See http://www.winlab.rutgers.edu/~Gruteser/papers/xu_tpms10.pdf for a vulnerability assessment of these devices. The potential for abuse is huge. And of course, any potential will doubtless be taken advantage of by our feral government, and that is just one method you might not even be aware of.

In any potential coming war, the citizens are going to be at a distinct informational disadvantage. More so, because people don't really realize how tied together all this stuff is and how easy it is to pull together a massive amount of information and mine it for what you want. The amount of money currently being spent on this stuff is not known, but its probably orders of magnitude beyond what even I think it is, and I've been paranoid about this stuff for decades.

This is something that is going to have to be considered.

People would be well advised to start boning up on how to use strong cryptography, and how to do dead drops on the internet so it is not easily traced back to any specific individual.

Ah, that’s more like what I was looking for: Long term systemic changes that do not depend on who is President at the time (etc.)

Knocking out the voters’ ability to, in effect, vote themselves funds from the public Treasury, is indeed a worthy idea. I’ve myself agreed with it for a long time, though you are correct in that it is likely impossible to push through. Also, how is “benefit” defined? I likely benefit if the gov’t builds a facility near me, and so on.

That said, you ARE addressing what many (including the aforementioned Pres. Jefferson) believed to be a fatal flaw of what are loosely termed “democracies”. I just don’t know that it prevents politicians from feathering their own nests, media collusion, and so on.

But... I like your suggestion, even though I pray that a peaceful revolution can still occur. Do you have more such ideas, more directly aimed at corruption(s) other than corruption of the voters themselves?

I want to know how one personally stays positive and happy with this banana republic we have.....

its depressing how terribly stupid and shallow and naïve and petty and dumb people are out there....and the elites keep on ruling....

I just grew up thinking I was as important as anyone, rich or poor, that we had laws, and the the bad people would be stopped....

Tar and feathers. Rope and a tall tree. Drawing and quartering. These seemed to be tried and true methods once upon a time.

What was once old, is new again.

There have to be many improvements in voting protection, for instance the citizens should be able to look at the voters registry books so that we can check for names of dead people and people who no longer live in town. We have to have a more hands on approach for the citizens. We are kept out of the process while the local governments get to keep all of the records. Citizens should be invited to watch the counting of the votes after the polls close.

I walked for Trump and one household was GOP registered, but the name I was seeking had been dead 14 years, and the man I was speaking to had married the widow.

I think you are on the right track. More citizen participation in taking down corruption of all types, would be vastly helpful. How do we encourage and empower citizens to do so, in a world where most of us are so short on time, anyway? (Heck, I should not even be here today, but this has been bothering me so much, I really wanted to get a discussion started.)

The drain cannot be drained politically and legally unless Trump wins and is true to his word.

First, he needs to ferret out the upper levels of every government department and agency, including the military, CIA, FBI, IRS, DOJ, EPA, DEA, Homeland Security, Department of Education, and State Department. The rot has sunk down at least to the third level in every one of these organizations. They are either outright treasonous in doing the unlawful bidding of their Democratic masters, or weaklings who failed to stand up against this tyranny.

Second, he needs to last long enough to replace Scalia, Ginsburg and Kennedy. There are now only two reliable conservative votes on the USSC. No reform laws passed by Congress will survive the current court, let alone a Court that shifts even further to the left.

Third, he needs to immediately go to war with the GOP-e leadership in the House and Senate, and encourage conservative members (there are a few) to take leadership roles. This would include making McConnell and Ryan persona non grata in the White House, and in any discussions on legislation.

Fourth, he needs to appoint an FBI Director who will clean house and return that agency to its sworn responsibility to defend the Constitution and enforce America’s laws. This means widespread investigations into the Clinton Campgain, the shadowy attack organizations such as those run by Creamer and Foval, the Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Foundation, the Clinton Global Initiative, the IRS, the State Department, and the Department of Justice. And mostly George Soros and his treasonous empire.

Fifth, he needs to completely shutout the mainstream media - including Fox - from the ability to answer questions at press conferences, background briefings, etc. He needs to open the doors to the new media until the dinosaurs wither and die.

From their ability to “ask” questions I meant. No news clips of their reporters on the nightly news, no appearances on the Sunday Morning shows, no interviews on 60 minutes. I would make one exception for Sean Hannity.

We deal it one of two ways...send Trump to D.C. With a mandate to clear the swamp, or, failing that, a citizen’s army, heavily armed, in a coup de tat.

It’s a great discussion. I think there are many little things that we can do on the local level that will make a real difference. We have been way too trusting for many years.
