Obamacare premiums are skyrocketing out of sight. A jump of a mere 30% looks like a good deal compared to jumps of over 50% in six states, and 93% in New Mexico.
Congratulations are in order for those living in a handful of states whose premiums only rose 20%.
The Wall Street Journal reports Rate Increases for Health Plans Pose Serious Test for Obamas Signature Law.

Just a Transition
President Obama calls this a transition because insurers aggressively priced too low to get healthy people to sign up.
Its a transition all right, to hell, for those watching rates skyrocket.
Meanwhile, young and healthy millennials have decided it is ridiculous to overpay for healthcare with $5,000 deductibles to support chronically ill smokers with cancer.
Obvious Death Spiral
I have been writing about the Obamacare death spiral since the legislation first passed. Some are now just catching on.

Obamacare Premiums Up 30% In TX, MS, KS; 50% In IL, AZ, PA; 93% In NM: When Does The Death Spiral Blow Up?
Don’t worry — a little Single Payer will fix this right up.
My Medicare prescription insurance went up 15.5%. I am waiting to see how much the increase for Part B is.
When that arrogant, ignorant, lazy, limp-wristed POS leaves office...
I would suggest a catastrophic care alternative. That will cover a lot of younger individuals that don’t really need the full Cadillac plans that Obamacare rams down their throats.
I’ve definitely taken a hit here in New York City. But nothing close to the numbers some of these poor states are facing. still, we here are definitely feeling The Squeeze
Some Battleground states in there, and just in time for the election. Is that enough to sway some voters in some key states?
And the dumb butts are probably going to vote for Hillary. You get what you vote for. #idiots
Yep, yesterday had a client break down into tears when she told me how high her rates have jumped. She has multiple health issues and a husband with rapidly advancing dementia. They will be paying about $1,700 a month with high deductibles and medication price hikes. She is afraid they will lose their home, which sadly is a definite possibility.
Too bad it’s not up 100% in Not So New Mexico. That haven for illegals will vote for Hillary because the feds are distributing welfare to a huge portion of the population in that state. It’s as close to third world living as you would see anywhere. The Indian tribes there have the gumption to build casinos and ski resorts and sell oil leases, but more of the population are content to be fed and housed by the U.S. taxpayers.

See it? They DESIGNED it to fail! They want us, the people, to demand single-payer. The UniParty will vote for it. President Hillary, if such a thing comes to pass, will sign it into law.
‘President Obama calls this a transition because insurers aggressively priced too low to get healthy people to sign up.’
A scam...so why didnt the govt step in and correct that from the beginning instead of letting it come to this? A pack of liars all.
“I would suggest a catastrophic care alternative. “
You are kidding, right?
Last time I looked into a plan for my Wife and the lowest plan was $950.00 a month with a $13,500 deductable - which means that if you have a broken leg you pay $11,400 for the insurance plus $13,500 for the deductable -— that’s an out-of-pocket of $24,900 in one year and insurance has not paid one cent.
That’s the least expensive plan we had on offer and I consider it catastrophic. Keep in mind this was several years ago, clearly it’s gone up since then...
We do have a Christian alternative which we pay $300 a month for with a $500 deductable. Have we used it? Yes. The total bills were $8,000 and our out of pocket was $390 (we received some discounts they were credited toward our deductible).
Sort of shows the difference between the private sector and Government regulations...
except that coverage exposes you to the Obamacare fines (taxes) - so you pay once for coverage, then pony up your "fine" to the IRS.
No wonder it’s skyrocketed here in New Mexico. All the libtards are jumping up and down saying “Oh boy! Oh boy! More free stuff!!!” I know a guy, and he’s healthy. Since he started receiving “free” Obamacare, his visits to the doctor have steadily increased. He’s to the point now that he sees a doctor every week for some imaginary ‘problem’. He recently had some surgery done on one of his feet, and had pins sticking out of his toes for a while as he hobbled around on crutches. Prior to the surgery, he walked fine and I NEVER heard him say anything was wrong with his foot. Now, after the surgery, he constantly complains about his foot and wants to file a lawsuit against all doctors and medical personnel involved. I know of many other libtards here in New Mexico who also scheme to get on disability. They deliberately go to the ‘free’ doctor’s’ and continually complain about some sort of medical issue that ails them, all for the purpose of creating a documented account of many doctor’s visits to use as ‘evidence’ as to why they can no longer work and must receive disability.
And of course 0bama is saying it’s not his fault. The Denier-In-Chief cries yet again.
There are no fines if one can tweak their income so the 8% rule goes into effect. It is easier to do the older one is. If these reports are accurate someone around age 60 in my locality will pay $9K for a Bronze plan for 2017 if ineligible for subsidies.
Obama like to say its not his fault. Someone need to ask him, but your law is literally called the Affordable Health Care Act, meant to stop the run away cost of previous health insurance. Your law failed
If the US goes single-payer where will Canadians go for surgery?
