Don’t know but I suspect the rental on the Broadmoor ice rink would have been very expensive (the rooms and meals are pricey). Then you have logistics issues with parking cars for the event and the guests staying at the hotel. Plus, one parking area there is where busses pick up people to take them to a tourist site, IIRC it’s Seven Falls.

What would have been cool is he could have used the football stadium at the US Air Force Academy (I’m not sure they allow outside parties to use it - just a thought). Beautiful area, maybe some of the cadets could attend, etc. When I lived in the Denver area years ago, we went to games there 1 or 2X per year. When we were visiting last summer, the groundskeeper let us go in the stadium and down on the field - very cool! Enjoyed the visit all around - beautiful chapel, hiking, decent food, nice talking to great young people.

“..cued audience...”

I watched and thought it was great! The “CNN sucks” chants did not sound scripted to me - they sounded from the heart and came across as genuine to me.

Also, the online audience was huge - 30,000+ I think (don’t remember exactly) does anyone have the exact number?

Was that a mirage I saw yesterday. That crowd was stoked!! Look at these LOVING faces.

Nillary can pay for suppoters to attend her rallies but they will NEVER show this kind of love on their faces!

The last time I checked during the rally, was +40,000, but afterward Joe Seales said they had 42K!

It would be impossible for me to wait in line for hours and then stand several hours more. My back cant handle that.

That's the main reason I'm not at the Grand Junction rally. I have a leg that couldn't take it. And several hours standing in the sun, with our ultraviolet levels, would be out of the question for me.

RSBN had 42,000 watching last night. They also said their entire crew was in Las Vegas and they would have a BIG surprise after the debate!

The Wisconsin event on the 17th? no, that wasn’t 30k. At one point I think I saw like 55k people watching on youtube.

Given the Al Smith dinner is a “roast”, it will be interesting to see what jokes they tell about each other. I suspect Hillary is having Stephen Colbert or Jimmy Kimmel or writers from SNL writing jokes for her.

It used to be a white tie affair - not sure if it’s still that formal or if black tie is now OK.

I had thought about Stephen Colbert writing for Hillary the other day (she’s not that funny and she’s “preparing for the debate”). Just searched for a link for the dinner, for those that aren’t aware of it, I scrolled down and what did I find - looks like Stephen was involved in 2013.

Trump commented last night that the fire marshall had been quite generous in the amount of folks he allowed in.

“His son had over 1,000 supporters attend his event yesterday!!”

That’s a bigger crowd than Clinton and Kaine get, combined most of the time.

I’ve seen some of Pence’s rallies, and his rallies are usually bigger than Clinton’s.

Trump took a few days off before the 2nd debate and did much better than the first one where he was woefully unprepared. The next debate will cover foreign policy hot spots, among other things. Hopefully, Mike Flynn will be briefing him on the ME, China, Russia, NK, ISIS, etc. Immigration will be another major topic. He should be able to anticipate the questions.

There is a lot riding on this last debate. It will be the last time Trump has a major audience and can speak unfiltered by the MSM directly to the people. A poor performance will doom his campaign.

“...RSBN ... new record .. 42 thousand...”

Thanks! I was watching on RSBN and thought my stab of 30,000+ was low.

To All- the long lines in Georgia very early this a.m. could maybe be Trump voters? The Dems tend to not be up yet, at least not at 6:30 - at least the urban Section 8 dems are not up - maybe union worker dems are. Later in the day that could change.

To clarify: at least speaking for the inner cities in upstate New York where I live, the above is true - maybe not for Georgia.

The abandoned mill town city where I live (Cohoes - more manufacturing jobs all gone) in the section 8 part of the city (there are still nice areas where we live on the river) is deserted because the people are not even up and about until 2:00 to 3:00 in the afternoon. It is quiet and then around 4:00 the signs of life begin including the horrendous “music”.

Weird. If you drive through there in the morning you would think the neighborhood is uninhabited.

“...poor performance will doom his campaign...”

I totally agree!! I see this as a both/and situation where doing less rallies and more prep in the final days is absolutely necessary however I see Hillary’s strategy of no public appearances as a bad one. Balance, as always, is the key - the rallies do serve a secondary purpose as practice getting his position across - I think we see Trump becoming more and more articulate by the day! as long he is prepping also.

Praying for a solid debate Wednesday for Trump!

Morning Granny, no surprise there. They should just order a rubber stamp, “never happened” to save themselves a lot of typing.
